Good Interview With Justin Rowland, Latest on UK Recruiting

agree with what he said about Kendall, would be monstrous for our recruiting to flip him

would love to flip him before summer so he could work on a couple big time wr's. i think he's friends with 2 guys we are after that are big time. lol

I could live with that.

him + Drake Jackson doubleteaming the recruiting camp circuit over the summer and on social media keeping everyone together and tight to prevent the late class flips would be so awesome

Just the symbolism of flipping such a highly touted QB from a historically significant football program like Tennessee (a program that just happens to be recruiting as well as anyone in the nation right now) would be earth shattering. To get an in-state kid like Barker is one thing. But to get a kid from outside the state who basically any team in the country would love to have would really send out a message that says...."hey, something really special is happening up in Lexington". I think the impact on this class would be enormous. He and Drake combined would very likely pull in more 4 star prospects. The impact would be HUGE.

Of course you could ask why Kendall committed knowing there would be 3 quarterbacks in the class ahead of him.

Dude, what the last poster said. He committed before those and was not told about it either from TN. He and his family are not happy about it and TN is trying to throw them off as athletes and/or he would be classified as an athlete (I forget which way it was stated).

Yeah I think they told him one guy MAY change positions and they MAY lose one to transfer. Another interesting thing is that UT has already set up a visit with QB Jarrett Guarantano as well. Kinda odd by UT unless they feel as though Kendall will flip. I fully believe he will be a Wildcat sooner rather than later.

Just my 2 cents on Kendall visiting Tenn. this weekend. I just think Jones will be able to keep him. He is a smooth recruiter. Hope I am Wrong, we sure need him.

I am trying to stay as far away from this recruitment as I possibly can.

I honestly do not think I can take my heart broken by yet another recruit again. Hahaha!

No doubt Jones is a slick salesman. I think he will try to sell him that UT needed depth for the 15 season because the guy behind Dobbs is not very good. Then as soon as the 15 season is over one will change positions and the 3rd will likely be sent packing, as by what has happened this off season UT has no issues with this at all. As for the other guy they are talking to in the 16 class he will pass it off as them being scared Austin was looking around and they didn't want to be left in the cold with no options. Jones is doing a better job of selling his program than any coach in the SEC right now, their sr just went to their first bowl and he has been able to pull in top 5 classed. Of course begging the ranking sites to boost your commits doesn't hurt that, but they have been landing bigtime kids, many of them legacy kids. I hate it, wish they struggled to win a game every year, but they are all in on putting a winning team on the field. When they were on top they were as dirty as any team you can name. They have quite a few rogue boosters who could care less about rules.

i dont see jones being able to keep him. even if he is able to explain away 2 of the 3, it's still a higher chance that one of those kids develops into a starter and kendall has to wait til his sr year to play. we can dang near guarantee he will start his jr year at worst. plus, screw tennessee!

Not quite, maybe one third right by the numbers.

According to the commit dates of the other three two were committed to the 15 class before he committed on 8-3-14, and he shouldn't be able to complain too much about those two, but when they added the third last month he must have wondered how much confidence they have in him. All three are four stars like him, but he is rated higher. Sounds like TU is just greedy and likes to have tryouts and get rid of the ones that don't cut the mustard.

I wish we had their problems, with 3 , 4* QB'S committed

Kid got recruited over just like any QB at UK right now will be. That's football.

Not sure if he was "recruited over" or not, the other three were 5.8s and he is a 6.0, next step to a five star. And he could be better for our program recruiting wise than any five star RB, especially beating out TU.

But out of THREE other four stars, all that will be a year ahead of him in development for most of his career, there is an excellent chance one of the three will turn out to be much underrated and a great player-------similar to what we hope for from Towles AND Barker.

Would be insane to get him. Rivals has him as the #27 player right now. Although he would probably drop to a 5.6 3 star if he committed to UK.
