I agree with your post but Hitler's mistakes are why we won the war, he thought he could win against almost the whole world-----and almost did. The US entrance in the war was the turning point, along with him taking on his Allie, Russia. I have nothing but respect for our soldiers, especially the ones that died, along with the heroes, like Audie Murphy.. But you have to give the German soldiers credit for giving their all, even if a lot of their courage and ability was due to being high on drugs-----like Hitler. Drugs were included in their daily rations, like cigarette's were to our soldiers..
I still hate that so many of our soldiers died later because they got hooked on cigarettes with nothing else to do in their foxholes. NO excuse for the younger generation now to smoke, they have been warned about dying with lung cancer like my wife did much later after getting hooked as a teenager when it was popular.
Yeah I can quit any time, but she went back after quitting several times, a horrible way to go.
Lost my wife of 49 years to Cancer in 2019. Two and a half years of treatments and what seemed like 2,000,000 miles burning up the road couldn't save her. She never smoked or drank alcohol ever. Go figure.
