That was one time the defender had no reason to hit that high.

Secondary is on par with the running game and O line.

Going into the year, I was most worried about the O-Line and secondary. Defense looks good so far, but they can't hold up forever. Offense needs to produce.

I am not familiar with the technicalities of CFB rule book.

In the NFL that is a penalty. Seems odd college wouldn't follow that rule.

NFL changed it after that brutal Gio Bernard hit which was very similar to hit Levis just took.

Announcers said they needed an “indicator”: upward thrust, launch, etc. Helmet to helmet alone is not the standard. Seemed like they had enough to sustain the call to me.

For sure. O-line is gonna be a struggle all year. If the refs were competent it’d be a different conversation entirely though. They effectively took points off the board for us.
