Yes. This is common sense. And I’ve always argued for it. Hell Im even for blind first round interviews where a candidate and interviewer must be separated by a screen so no rash judgements can be made and bias is tampered down. You only can judge based on knowledge and responses.

No. Of course not. We’ve evolved beyond that as a society due to increased lifespans and more stable and organized societies. However when life spans we’re in the 30s, society functioned a lot differently for survival.

So how come Congress has not looked at these programs and eliminated wasteful spending before now? It is not like every thing that DOGE has uncovered were things that were being fraudulently hidden from our elected representatives. I understand Musk is for ending the F35 fighter, which has been a gigantic money suck for years and years and apparently still doesn't reliably work. I would love to understand why Congress can't do its damn job and cut spending.

Right now, why can't you just be GD happy the DOGE effort is being done (and by extraordinarily competent people)? Yes, we want an America first congress too, and we're working on it. That is a key MAGA goal.

The current effort is focusing on Executive branch entities which the President has authority over. Anything called out in congressional legislation is accommodated per the law.

I don't get it. Everybody should be on board with this. We're approaching $40T debt. If we don't want the country to collapse, it is essential.

I think congress is in on the grift in a big way, but DOGE HAS uncovered things that were being fraudulently hidden from our elected representatives who were searching for truth. We've seen numerous examples of the unelected bureaucracy stonewalling to withhold information requested by the House and Senate. The bureaucracy thinks they are in charge, and they apparently have been to a large degree. And the insane, anti-American pRoGrEsSiVe ideology is their driving principle. Just look what is being funded. Jesus Christ.

The numerous examples of fraud, waste, and abuse uncovered so far is unbelievable.

I'd prefer this be a bipartisan effort for the sake of America. But if demo☭rats want to keep it hidden, I hope it leads to the total destruction of their filthy party.

DOGE is happening whether you like it or not. The majority of Americans support it. Trump campaigned on it and voters voted for it.

The results are ALL being released. We now have channels of communication to provide full transparency to the American people. We're no longer limited to USAID taxpayer funded leftist media propaganda. Your party's radicals can slow it down and hope to cover their tracks, but it will be done with or without you.

Hard for anyone to expect any administration to do anything about inflation in three weeks.

And, tbh, I don't have a problem with the goal of DOGE which is to identify programs and funding that can and should be cut. I just wish Musk/Trump weren't taking the Bull in the China Shop approach (probably wishful thinking on my part given Trumps past history) including a bunch of stuff that has been stopped by Judges, at least so far.

If DOGE would identify specific items (which it has) and present it to Congress for action, e.g., disbanding USAID or folding it into the State Dept, and then let Congress do its job (probably even more wishful thinking on my part), I personally would welcome the effort. Reps and Trump won the election, they have the votes, I don't know why they don't just run it through Congress and pass some legislation adopting recommendations from DOGE.

I have no problem with executive orders wiping out previous executive orders.

I also don't trust congress to cut funding that ends up giving them kickbacks. They've had plenty of chances to reign in the waste, but they just keep wasting more taxpayer money that goes to organizations lining their pockets and campaign funds. Both if the major parties are guilty of this.

Pruning is good, it leads to more healthy growth in the future. If a few healthy branches needs to be trimmed to create a stronger main trubk them so be it.
