His reasoning was other schools, including SEC, will be able to buy better players and cash, for the most part, is what attracts players. More than programs, more than coaches, more than scheme. Basically, CBB will be more and more like CFB, the rich reload with cash and players from lesser programs and the gulf between the haves and have not widens. EE 8 this year was all #1 and #2 seeds with a lone #3 thrown in. Big conferences, no mid majors.

This is a no brainer to me. I’ve said it for two or three years now. It will be very unlikely. We are not a top 10 program at current. BYU oddly has a better chance. I think Duke will completely dominate this era.

Your friend is dumb as hell. His own argument contradicts itself. If CBB becomes more like CFB, the blue bloods, for the most part, will be the ones who throw down the most money. Get him checked for dementia.
