** Tyreek Jemison announces at 4:30 p.m. Here is what you need to know:

He was the top interior offensive lineman on Kentucky's board and has been for the 2026 class. The only reason he didn't visit earlier was because he was really sought after and had a bunch of other trips he was working in. Jemison visited during the spring and had a really good trip. On the official visit the way the coaches explained the depth chart and how he fits into it was what really made him feel great about Kentucky. So what makes him the top interior offensive lineman on Kentucky's board?

He has 35 inch arms. Typically you hear wingspan referenced more but UK and the NFL measure each arm because a guy could have a wide back and wingspan can be deceiving. But he has really long arms, several inches longer (each arm!) than some of the guys Kentucky has looked at or have committed elsewhere. It's rare to find an interior lineman at this level with that kind of reach.

Explosive off the line, athletic, has the mentality for run blocking and proved himself very capable in pass protection at tackle even if he's a guard at Kentucky. He's probably 6'4 1/2 and about 325 pounds so he's a big dude. Throw in 10.5' hands and those are measurables that you will see at the NFL combine. Not only that but he's very mature, comes from a great family, and his dad is a coach. I see him like I see Dallas Dickerson in that he's high floor and high upside. Stack as many of those guys as you can get.

** Lot of talk lately about Garrett Witherington because there was a forecast for Kentucky from a Penn State analyst on another site. I have not heard that he committed but I did hear a lot of optimism around the time he was taking his official visit. Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and Penn State are some of the other schools that UK has been recruiting against but right now I feel good about their chances there.

** Nothing substantial to report on QB Matt Ponatoski. Keep in mind, I think folks have assumed UK because of a process of elimination based on other events, but they still have to get him to announce.
