The over-the-back was clearly a foul. There was too much body contact to not make that call.
Yeah, Bilas was whining about it too, but the Memphis guy had clear position and McNeeley would not have got the rebound without the contact. Not a hard foul by any means, but it was one, and the refs hear it for not calling fouls at the end that they would call earlier in the game, so we can't have it both ways.

"I think it was the shitty calls," he said, adding, "I would expect to come to play in an event, and I don't know too many back-to-back national championship teams that get that type of a whistle."

Wait hold up ........so just cause you won back to back you are supposed to get a certain type of whistle? haha
Did Hurley say that?

That santos kid may be one to watch for the portal. NBA size and can shoot

This will prob be called a 2…but still. Maybe we steal another one from Dayton if he has a Grad transfer year available. 6’7 and 217

Clearly some very good teams out there. Dayton and ISU, although they lost, will win a lot of games. UNC and Auburn are both better than I thought. It’ll be very interesting to see how conference play shakes out.

This UConn team is nowhere near what the last 2 were. Now they could still be really good because Hurley is the coach but the talent isn’t anywhere close to 2022-2024 teams.
It looked to me like Memphis about blew the game a couple times. He got the Tech with 42 seconds left and it was 92 all and they only lost by 2. They must not have executed that great or missed some FT’s late.
