Field/Turf - Injuries??

Seeing lots of comments circulating on twitter questioning if UK’s turf yesterday was to blame for several of the lower body injuries, specifically cleats getting hung up in the turf. So they’re playing with artificial turf now? If so, when did they move away from grass?
