There are close to 2000 basketball players in the Transfer Portal today.

I feel pretty confident CMP can pick us 10 or 12 good ones out of that pool of players to at least be competitive next year.

Heck, we may even win a couple of games in the tournament(s) next year.

That would be a huge improvement.

Give the man time to get the right mix of players that he wants to coach.

The portal is growing every day and will until the deadline.

I bet some of the best players aren’t even in the portal yet.

And there will be some who are testing the draft waters and will decide to return to school. They are concentrating on trying to get drafted and won’t seriously look at teams until the NBA says no.

I don’t understand why everyone’s worried. Cal is gone and I’m thankful. Excited for the change no matter what our season turns out to be next year. We have a coach who breathes this program and understands the importance of every game.

Amen!!! Ready to get UK basketball back and no doubt Mark Pope will do that and install pride back into our program. As far as the roster is concerned every single portal target we have been linked with is still available. None of of targets have committed anywhere yet and new targets are still hitting the portal daily.
