...ejection during their game against WKU for him not being drafted in the 1st round. [roll]

As if NBA GM's give an ish whether a kid had a blow-up during the college basketball season or not. Crawford is doing everything he can to downplay the fact that Montrez is a wash-out and sucked at the combine and in his workouts, but they can't say that because then that'll mean that Pricktino doesn't know how to properly prepare his players for the NBA, and they can't possibly acknowledge that.

Then he talked about how surprising it was to see Rozier go 16th...as if it was some kind of moral victory or something. If I'm not mistaken, I think that's about where a lot of experts had predicted he go.

I just find it hilarious that they and their journalist cronies always have to resort to propaganda and selective reporting to try and sugar coat their program.

I feel bad for Harrell. Seems like a good kid who wore his heart on his sleeve. Too bad he got crappy advice from his coach last year.

Was Rozier projected that high? Most I saw had him mid-20s.

Rozier was projected mid-late first round, which I don't get at all. And going to Boston especially was a bad pick

Trez is an undersized post player who has energy and no game outside 15'. Why are they surprised he didn't get drafted higher?

I know he doesn't care and I know he has more important things on his mind now that he's in the league, but if I'm Harrell and I catch word of this, I'm furious!

It seems like Louisville media does this from time to time. Once you leave, the media decides to bash you for the decisions you made. Chane Behanan got trashed but they were the ones protecting him. I know a few football players have received this treatment and a few other basketball players as well. I'm sure the fans still love them as they should, but I don't understand why the media needs to continue to do this. But Pitino and Jurich don't control the media...

..................or do they.

It shows why you shouldn't listen to Pitino for professional advice. He was told to come back because he wasn't a lottery pick and he needed to play himself in there. Instead, he goes from a mid first rounder last season to the 2nd round this year thanks in part to him playing tougher competition. Pitino cost him millions so he wouldn't have a bad season. Wonder if Rick even cares?

The coach of that school has one agenda; its def not the kids he brings in either.

Harrell should have been more consistent and performed better in pre-draft workouts. Its on him.
Time will tell whether we see if another Faried type player. Now he has to earn his slot.

I would say Rozier going that high was a surprise, a skilled player to be sure but top 20? Harrell dropping is really not a surprise. His highlight reels are all fast break points against undersized teams. He routinely disappeared in big games and his "emotional" play meant you were never sure you could count on him. I'm sure he'll find a niche in the league though.

Not so sure it was that much of surprise. He was projected mid-late first round (picks 15 to 30), he went 16, so in my opinion I don't think anyone should have been surprised really. It may have been on the high side, but going 16th instead of 20th really isn't that much of a stretch.

Now, had he gone in the lottery, then I would've been surprised.

This. Most had doubts about his ability to play inside against NBA sized power players. Harrell always need to over come that perception. That perception was reenforced big time during the UK/UL game. Harrell looked overwhelmed by UK's size. Had he done well in that game Harrell was probably going to be a top 15 pick. Getting overwhelmed however exposed the fears that NBA already had as being legit. Harrell is talented but for now he comes across as a center in a small forward's body.

Harrell suffered from bad advice all around. Pitino effectively hid him as a freshman on the championship team. As a sophomore he was showcased as a energy and dunking machine. Came back as a junior to become a slashing jump shooting facilitator. Fail=2nd rounder.
Morale of the story: just do what you can do well and make them guess what you can't do.

The twitter vibe last night was that Rozier went drastically higher than expected.

As far as Trez--another kid who if he comes to Kentucky--he'd have gone lotto. May have been last year.

He isn't the first kid that's been in a fight. You can survive something silly on the court. Off the court issues seem to be more damning.

besides the tard fans....here is what everybody else knew about Harrell...1. he is a good rebounder, and plays hard. 2. he has no outside game period, 3 he can't handle the ball and his passing is not good. so the gm's got it right. yes somebody will take a chance however like the rest of the tard nation he will be in the d league where all his other tard boys are at. or in that other nba league....the Nigerian basketball association. overseas. he honestly blew it not going last year...... always strike when the iron is hot. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It's always good to play for a coach who has your best interests at heart. He can play in the NBA with his motor and abilities , think Dennis Rodman, but he should never have listened to Pitineer's smoke blowing

SEXtino screwed him..

I actually think Harrell is better than some of the guys drafted ahead of him. He's a serious athlete.

Marcus Smart shoved a fan, got ejected and suspended for 3 games and still went top 6 so no Harrell didn't fall because he got ejected

I'm with you. Harrell doesn't play for UL any more, so I hope he has a successful, profitable pro career so he can provide well for his family.
I always liked his hustle and effort on the court.
Hope it works out for him.

This is coming from a person that loathes UL, by the way.

Best example of that was when Petrino left town. Man, the local guys were lined up with knives when that happened. They killed him after he left, it was brutal. You could tell there was just pent up malice and they finally had permission to unload. Now he's back in town, and you'd think they all love him. One of the meanest columns I've seen is one that Forde wrote about Petrino after he left Louisville. He's actually wrote 2 more hate columns later, when he left the Falcons and then when he got fired at Arkansas. Just hateful, only time I've seen Forde treat someone worse than he treats Calipari. So, Louisville hires Petrino again, and who does Petrino give the exclusive interview? Pat Forde. Which of course makes no sense, you'd think Petrino would give him a sledgehammer to the head. It makes no sense, until you consider the role of Jurich, the relationship of Jurich and Forde, and the influence/control Jurich exercises.....

I think it's hilarious that shaquan aaron has to transfer, yet booker is a lottery pick. Wcs is the 6th pick and Trez is in the 2nd rd. If the uofl guys were here their futures wld have been completely different.

100% correct. If only people knew the real truth about Jurich. I hope someday the truth is known.
