Get Jamir or Rj for defense and they occasionally hit some 3s plus they can guard some guy from IU in December. Could say screw defense get straight pure shooter Alex Chaikin.
Kentucky doesn’t need a “ occasional hit 3s” guy they need a hits 3s guy all the time. That’s all they are missing

UK should throw everything they have left at Ian Jackson, and get the last piece. Call in every favor they have, from the Mormon community to the governor to the NBA guys and retired NBA guys.
He's a lottery-level player with one more year of development. Him, Oweh, and JQ give you your star power next year.

Put him on the wing and let him cook. We need a scorer, so he could dominate the ball most of the time, in addition to Oweh.
I mean, he isn't going to expect to shoot anymore than Yates, Pierre, or Wilkerson would of.

I don't see Lowe as a big scorer. He had big numbers because he was a high volume shooter.
The answer is "yes."
I mean, Jackson is no slouch from three. He made 60 threes and shot 40% from downtown.
Put him in Pope's offense and those numbers are only going to go up.
My daughter is a Sophmore at Centre with plans to go to law school, I can’t think of more fun thing than manage NIL and get paid to negotiate contracts. Heck I wish I was young again.
It can be stressful having someone’s financial future and life in your hands. Gotta make sure you have the terms in the contract to protect your client because the other side will do all it can to not pay lol

Banks looks good to me. Wonder why he hasn't been considered. It would be smart to get two good shooters, one for the two guard and one for the 3. Get two good shooters while you have the room. No way of knowing how these guys adapt to the SEC.

Not intending to hijack this thread but my point was wondering WHEN a “commitment” becomes legally binding and subject to some form of recourse to the damaged party. The commitment is a two way street between school and player.
The root of my curiosity is really about how university athletic programs can hold a player accountable for a binding signature. I realize there are exceptions that would allow this, but a player simply changing their mind because another program got involved after the fact seems wrong to me.
I still place very high value on a man’s word actually meaning something.

Well, UK did have a kicker named Chance Poore. Not the kind of name you'd want a kicker to have.
I hope nobody bites and pays the kid, but we know somebody will. He needs to be made an example of what not to do in order to help reign in some of this nonsense. This crap won't come back to some sense of normalcy until these kids with inflated self-worth are told to take a hike.
I agree with you. It’s up to the University to pursue legal remedy. I believe most would choose to do nothing against a player that does not honor a contract. It’s too much trouble and expense and could potentially cause future recruits/portal players to stay away. I’m sure agents would advise their clients against signing with the school that sued a player for breach of contract.
There's a difference between committing and actually signing. A committment is just a verbal agreement. nothing is signed. Just like a high school recruit. they can commit all they want but they are still fair game until the signing period and they sign their LOI. after that it's hands off. If Eaglestaff never signed his LOI, then he was still fair game unless his agent shut it down. Fortunately I think all of our guys have signed their LOI's.
I think maybe you could leave "these days" out. Almost 50 years ago I went to school with Mitchell and his younger brother Tritchell.
I'm not really a big fan of Eaglestaff. We need a shooter/maker. Eaglestaff's 35% 3P shooting isn't really any better than several guys we already have on the roster. And he certainly isn't what I'd consider great at other aspects of the game. We need a 40% 3P shooter and preferably someone who is quick and athletic that can defend and rebound.
He also had a pretty high usage rate this last year, which could've contributed to his 3pt shot dropping from 38.3% to 35.9%. Not sure what his usage was his sophomore year, though.
If he wants to come here, I say take him. Another senior on the roster and a dude who can drive to the basket a bit.
