Anyone that would pay that kind of money for those stats is an idiot IMOOff topic but does Nico wind up getting less now than what he got at UT which was reportedly around $2.5mill.
Get Jamir or Rj for defense and they occasionally hit some 3s plus they can guard some guy from IU in December. Could say screw defense get straight pure shooter Alex Chaikin.Just go get Bryce Lindsey he is better
Kentucky doesn’t need a “ occasional hit 3s” guy they need a hits 3s guy all the time. That’s all they are missingGet Jamir or Rj for defense and they occasionally hit some 3s plus they can guard some guy from IU in December. Could say screw defense get straight pure shooter Alex Chaikin.
Just don't see many of those type guys left in the portal at the moment. Of course more could enter but might have to settle for a scorer.Kentucky doesn’t need a “ occasional hit 3s” guy they need a hits 3s guy all the time. That’s all they are missing
UK should throw everything they have left at Ian Jackson, and get the last piece. Call in every favor they have, from the Mormon community to the governor to the NBA guys and retired NBA guys.Just don't see many of those type guys left in the portal at the moment. Nope. Players can do anything now. I think now the lock in is the day before class and you sign the financial aid papers. So they can do anything they want until thenSo I guess he didn't sign? If they sign are they obligated to at least fulfill a year?
Where does Ian Jackson fit though? He wants the ball and to be the main creatorUK should throw everything they have left at Ian Jackson, and get the last piece. Call in every favor they have, from the Mormon community to the governor to the NBA guys and retired NBA guys.
He's a lottery-level player with one more year of development. Him, Oweh, and JQ give you your star power next year.
Put him on the wing and let him cook. We need a scorer, so he could dominate the ball most of the time, in addition to Oweh.Where does Ian Jackson fit though? He wants the ball and to be the main creator
Do we need a scorer or do we need somebody who can hit 3s and open up lanes for Oweh and LowePut him on the wing and let him cook. We need a scorer, so he could dominate the ball most of the time, in addition to Oweh.
I mean, he isn't going to expect to shoot anymore than Yates, Pierre, or Wilkerson would of.
So what's the difference?
I don't see Lowe as a big scorer. He had big numbers because he was a high volume shooter.Do we need a scorer or do we need somebody who can hit 3s and open up lanes for Oweh and Lowe
The answer is "yes."Do we need a scorer or do we need somebody who can hit 3s and open up lanes for Oweh and Lowe
My daughter is a Sophmore at Centre with plans to go to law school, I can’t think of more fun thing than manage NIL and get paid to negotiate contracts. Heck I wish I was young again.I’m an attorney and I am looking to get into the field. It’s lucrative and you get a percentage of the NIL money as you rep them. I’m curious as to whether attorneys for these kids are pushing them to specific schools. But yes attorneys get a percentage of their contract.
It can be stressful having someone’s financial future and life in your hands. Gotta make sure you have the terms in the contract to protect your client because the other side will do all it can to not pay lolMy daughter is a Sophmore at Centre with plans to go to law school, I can’t think of more fun thing than manage NIL and get paid to negotiate contracts. Heard today teams are offering a Million and a half number. Saying they have good QB that has the locker room. I hope where ever he lands it is for a lot less than what UT was going to pay. 😂Off topic but does Nico wind up getting less now than what he got at UT which was reportedly around $2.5mill.
There is a player in the portal named All Wright (#151). Not the least bit relevant, just found it amusing and wanted to share.
Banks looks good to me. Wonder why he hasn't been considered. It would be smart to get two good shooters, one for the two guard and one for the 3. Get two good shooters while you have the room. No way of knowing how these guys adapt to the SEC.Bruce Lindsey, Marcus banks jr
According to Goodman nope, he said West Virginia is probably where he will go, some connections to his camp.My bet is he wanted Kentucky… we asked him to wait while we pursued some guys higher on our board (Pierre, Yates, Wilkerson) and he didn’t want to miss out on other opportunities while waiting and assumed we’d get one of those.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if this isn’t a coincidence.
Genius parents these days. SMH. 🤦There is a player in the portal named All Wright (#151). Not the least bit relevant, just found it amusing and wanted to share.
“Supposedly “ our staff had Max Green rated ahead of Eaglestaff. My bet is he wanted Kentucky… we asked him to wait while we pursued some guys higher on our board (Pierre, Yates, Wilkerson) and he didn’t want to miss out on other opportunities while waiting and assumed we’d get one of those.

Exactly since we couldn't lock the 45% Wilkerson up lets at least lock up Jackson. We have to have the last piece!UK should throw everything they have left at Ian Jackson, and get the last piece. Not intending to hijack this thread but my point was wondering WHEN a “commitment” becomes legally binding and subject to some form of recourse to the damaged party. The commitment is a two way street between school and player. It would be portal suicide if a school used legal
powers to go after a powers to go after a player that decommits.
Was his whole name “Don’t worry everything is gonna be All Wright”?There is a player in the portal named All Wright (#151). Not the least bit relevant, just found it amusing and wanted to share.
Well, UK did have a kicker named Chance Poore. Not the kind of name you'd want a kicker to have. There is a player in the portal named All Wright (#151). Not the least bit relevant, just found it amusing and wanted to share.
I hope nobody bites and pays the kid, but we know somebody will. He needs to be made an example of what not to do in order to help reign in some of this nonsense. This crap won't come back to some sense of normalcy until these kids with inflated self-worth are told to take a hike.Heard today teams are offering a Million and a half number. I agree with you. It’s up to the University to pursue legal remedy. I believe most would choose to do nothing against a player that does not honor a contract. It’s too much trouble and expense and could potentially cause future recruits/portal players to stay away. I’m sure agents would advise their clients against signing with the school that sued a player for breach of contract. Not intending to hijack this thread but my point was wondering WHEN a “commitment” becomes legally binding and subject to some form of recourse to the damaged party. The root of my curiosity is really about how university athletic programs can hold a player accountable for a binding signature. I realize there are exceptions that would allow this, but a player simply changing their mind because another program got involved after the fact seems wrong to me.
I still place very high value on a man’s word actually meaning something.
This was too long to read….sorry about that. Just needed to vent a little.
There's a difference between committing and actually signing. A committment is just a verbal agreement. nothing is signed. Just like a high school recruit. they can commit all they want but they are still fair game until the signing period and they sign their LOI. after that it's hands off. If Eaglestaff never signed his LOI, then he was still fair game unless his agent shut it down. Fortunately I think all of our guys have signed their LOI's.Not intending to hijack this thread but my point was wondering WHEN a “commitment” becomes legally binding and subject to some form of recourse to the damaged party. I think maybe you could leave "these days" out. Almost 50 years ago I went to school with Mitchell and his younger brother Tritchell.Genius parents these days. SMH. 🤦
He also had a pretty high usage rate this last year, which could've contributed to his 3pt shot dropping from 38.3% to 35.9%. Not sure what his usage was his sophomore year, though.I'm not really a big fan of Eaglestaff. We need a shooter/maker. Eaglestaff's 35% 3P shooting isn't really any better than several guys we already have on the roster. And he certainly isn't what I'd consider great at other aspects of the game. We need a 40% 3P shooter and preferably someone who is quick and athletic that can defend and rebound.
It is exactly that! Was his whole name “Don’t worry everything is gonna be All Wright”?
