Duke @ U of L at Noon

As I've said before, as Kentucky fans, we should be for Louisville just as we are for any other in state directional school, unless they're playing UK. If not, then don't care what they do at all. They're fanbase doesn't reciprocate this because they're little brother, just as the other in state schools are too. If you'll notice, they act no differently than any other in state schools fans towards UK.

If we say that Louisville winning isn't good for the Commonwealth, than neither are any of the other in state directional schools in Kentucky. You can't have it both ways, in my opinion.

Pitino looks extremely ill.

Yeah his color doesn't look right.

Your post gives me no reason to cheer for Louisville. You offer no support for you position that Louisville success is good for the state.

I realize that there is an oddball minority of people who feel the way you do.

Unfortunately, I think you're in the minority's here. I find those that scream the loudest are those that are usually in the minority.

At the end of the day, Kentucky fans shouldn't feel threatened by anything Louisville does. Kentucky is a program with worldwide recognition and unparalleled success, especially compared to a directional school that shares the same state. To think otherwise makes Louisville more important than they really are and gives their fans exactly what they want

Have you paid attention to what has happened over the past few months? NOTHING UofL does makes our state look good! THEY PAID HOOKERS FOR PLAYERS AND RECRUITS!
A cheerleader DIED in a dorm and the investigation just happened to hit a dead end. Their President is a complete and total joke. They are being investigated by the FBI for mishandling of public funds and do I even have to bring up the Yum! Center fiasco?
That school and program are a disgrace to this state!
Agree. Couldn't care less what UL does. Nor do they care what UK does.

the West End will be a tomb if uavel loses..Crown Royal sales will peter out to zero Black and Tan the same..The Caaards are it for those folks..

what would make our state look good is to get rid of the corruption in a state school
not them winning a basketball game

After their actions, I absolutely agree. It's shameful and makes the Commonwealth look terrible. Unfortunately, it may make us look eve worse as more and more info comes to light.

BigBlueCatNation doesn't think UofL is a rival but thinks Tennessee and their century+ of sucking in basketball is worthy of being our rival.

Dumb just dumb.

You might just live in lala land.

I want UL to win.

1) I hate Duke more.
2) We beat them both, so who wins doesn't impact our RPI.
3) UL won't be in the tournament, Duke will, and we could be competing with Duke for a higher seed.

Wait until the UNCheat scandal heats up - Skipper has probably already drafted talking points for the talking heads.
I was very surprised to see the panel talking about the UNC scandal on college gameday today. Those guys hear about things we don't, their ears are closer to the ground than our are and to hear Seth bring it up is promising.

You're right and it's pitiful. Their actions not only hurt themselves, but make the entire Commonwealth look bad. Unfortunately, I think it's only going to get worse if they continue to dig. In saying that, they do need to continue to purge that program. I've always said Louisville's success these past 10-15 years has been too good to be true. If that house of cards ever truly falls, it will have repercussions so severe, they may never come back. In fact, they may actually be forced to go back to being a private school again. I just couldn't see the state government continuing their support.

Quit using the phrase "we". You don't speak for anyone but yourself. I'll be for whoever I want. It's a free country. I don't have to subscribe to your warped theories if I don't want to.

Over the past 20 years, you're right. However, you can't give the city away to another state. It brings our state a ton of money!

Not really, especially considering we've been playing them for more than 100 years. Add in the fact that they've also beaten us more than any other team in history.

You might just live in lala land.

Maybe, but I also just look at rivalries differently. When Kentucky plays Louisville, they're always expected to win. When they don't, it hurts Kentucky a lot more than it helps Louisville. To me, that's not really a rivalry.

with all due respect, it doesn't make UK or the rest of the Commonwealth look like anything, so there is no "us" to it.

The closest I can come to a description of the UL Administration and Athletic Dept. is the State of Louisiana government under Huey Long and the City of Chicago government under Daly. Everything they stand for is corruption and cheating. UL Sucks.

Well I live in SC and when Louisville decided to put themselves on probation it made our local news, as I'm sure it made others as well. They spoke about the coach, mentioning that he also coached at Kentucky. They also spoke about how the Commonwealths Attorney would be looking into the Louisville program. For me, I take that as bad publicity for our state. But I'm sure other see it differently

yes, nearly everyone else sees it differently. But have a nice day and Go Cats

LOL. UT is not a rival any more. I don't get that.

I didn't know that rivals really changed. I still consider Indiana our rival and we've stopped playing them. Indiana is certainly a superior rival to Louisville by any stretch of the imagination.
