Really hope that Matt Jones is able to get in and be the reason Louisville loses today. The Irony alone would be worth it.
Hate both but wouldn't bother me if Duke lost. I want them seeded as low as possible and hopefully be gone the first weekend.
Yes it is. Look, Louisville isn't our rival. We own them in every single sport but football. Shame on us for not caring about that sport for so long. Louisville isn't a national brand. Heck, they might not even have the majority of fans in their own city. They don't matter, period. Beating them should make all of our fans the same when we beat WKU, EKU or any other in state directional school.
It's absolutely asinine that some of our fans put them on a pedestal that they just don't deserve. It's ridiculous!
That's the same ridiculous claim some supposed UK fans made when UofL won their title. Care to explain just how this works? Does it help education, reduce unemployment or fill the State coffers?

Louisville has been a power in basketball for a loooooong time. Yes UK owns them but they have 3 National Titles and 10 Final Fours which is good for 7th most.

UL is our sports enemy. We are comfortably better than them, which is great. But pretending that they have no national presence is what's asinine.
They hired our former coach. He is widely considered a top 5 coach in the game. They play in arguably the top basketball conference. They won the title 3 years ago.
Cheering for UL as good for the commonwealth is a joke. We aren't talking about EKU or Murray St. Were those teams a topic on GameDay? Is Dick Vitale calling their game?
Seems like more of their fans are at the game than other teams. I find that really odd, especially since it's in Kentucky
Louisville is a DECENT program, but they pale in comparison to actual powers. By the way, have they managed to win more games than WKU yet? Also, have they managed to have a winning record vs WKU yet?

Have you paid attention to what has happened over the past few months? NOTHING UofL does makes our state look good! THEY PAID HOOKERS FOR PLAYERS AND RECRUITS!
A cheerleader DIED in a dorm and the investigation just happened to hit a dead end. Their President is a complete and total joke. They are being investigated by the FBI for mishandling of public funds and do I even have to bring up the Yum! Center fiasco?
That school and program are a disgrace to this state!
He didn't get bailed out when we played them. Getting virtually every call all season long tends to instill confidence.
The only problem with rooting for Duke in this one is that are passing us by on the S-Curve with all these wins.

Lol No they aren't. We share the same state as Louisville, but that's it. I haven't lived in Kentucky in almost 10 years and have literally never ran into a Louisville fan. However, I run into Kentucky fans daily. Louisville's coach is known because he was our coach before. To think any differently just wouldn't make any sense! I still love Coach Pitino and appreciate everything he did for us here.
As far as that title 3 years ago, it may very well come down. At this point, who knows?!?
They got into the ACC for the same reasons they're about to go on major probation, screwing the system and winning at all costs. That also makes the Commonwealth look bad, which is why I don't like it.
Dick Vitale is there for one reason and one reason only and it's not because of Louisville. He is there because dUKe is playing. That's it.
