He's known as a prickly asshole.Well one replaces another I guess.....Drew can't handle this job. He's done a real good job of building Baylor but he simply doesn't have the charisma to embrace everything this job requires. It's over his head.
Anyone happy about this is not a UK fan.
What has he done lately but underachieve with the talent he had?Sound familiar.Scott drew would not be that bad. There are better options, but acting like Scott drew is terrible crazy
I like the choice. Shoot ur shot at the absolute best, then get the best who is left. With the question marks of next year's team, I don't think Red Auerbach or Phil Jackson would get us to a FF immediately. If you whiff on 1-4 what other choice do we have?
We're getting a massive reality check.

Nope, I called civil war a few weeks ago. Little did I know it would be over delusions instead of Cal.Can we go a day without trying to divide the fan base again?
So did RP and we saw how that worked out.He took over a program in shambles. I do don’t think the first few year matter.
I hope you’re right.IMO, nobody knows anything right now. People are throwing darts and hope they stick
The issues is if he goes 17-13 he's gonna get crucified.Gamble on an up and coming that you’re able to get on the cheap and can in two years without ruining a friendship.
It's not dulusions to want better than Drew.Nope, I called civil war a few weeks ago. Little did I know it would be over delusions instead of Cal.
He has, but he isn’t getting the talent cal got, and he isn’t in jeopardy of missing the tourney. He ain’t my first choice but Kentucky can do a lot worseWhat has he done lately but underachieve with the talent he had?Sound familiar.
He won't get the talent Cal got at UK either. He has, but he isn’t getting the talent cal got, and he isn’t in jeopardy of missing the tourney. He ain’t my first choice but Kentucky can do a lot worse
Want? No. I want a super model in my bed and to win the Powerball. Wish and wants......It's not dulusions to want better than Drew.
His style of play is painful. If you like zone then Drew is your man. Get ready to see lots of it. He coaches puss ball.

If he does better than cal i don’t care. I still want Mitch to reach out and try to get other guys, but drew isn’t a charity optionHe won't get the talent Cal got at UK either.
You mean the Clemson team that went to the Elite 8??As I've said for months, I'm not as opposed to Drew as others here but his recent tournament resume of getting knocked out in the first weekend isn't going to cut it here. His loss in the tournament this year to Clemson downgraded him in my eyes but it's not a terrible hire versus other options.
Tubby did pretty damn well for awhile.Drew could easily go 17-13 as well tho but it’ll be on a huge contract. This is a Tubby type level hire imo.
I'm not sure what gives u that confidenceDrew would have the best resume incoming of any coach UK has hired post Rupp. I'm very confident he would win number 9 here and that's all I care about.
That's the problem here. Hurley pre uconn would've been a gamble hire, and you would've wanted him fired after year 2, 3, and 4 based on his results.Gamble on an up and coming that you’re able to get on the cheap and can in two years without ruining a friendship.
Could be stuck with Drew for years.
He's known as a prickly asshole.Well one replaces another I guess.....
I'm not knocking Drew, I just think UK is over his head. I could be wrong but from the tier you had Drew in, give me Pearl and let's roll.Getting a top Coach like Drew after a Hall of fame Coach leaves would be a good thing. Drew is really a great coach who would do extremely well here.
If Stevens, Wright and Donavon have no interest you take Drew from that next tier and get ready to roll.
You have the tier of Stevens, Donavon and Wright
Then you have the Drew, Oats, Hurley, Pearl tier
We get a good Coach plus we lose a coach that was tired and didn't want to be here anymore.
Win, win
I'm not sure what gives u that confidence
80 ppg and 39% from 3??His style of play is painful.
Oats and Wright have said no.
Hurley will also say no.
Drew is what you have left.
Is what it is. Suck it up and let's move forward.
He has 11+ losses in 4 of his last 7 seasons.I see Drew as the safe hire. Long track record in a power conference. Good coach who you can be almost certain won’t completely run the program into a ditch. He doesn’t have an overly charismatic personality though, and he’s had a couple of disappointing tournaments since his championship, so he doesn’t end up feeling like the super exciting possible next big thing either. He probably wasn’t my dream candidate, but we could do a lot worse since it looks like some of the splashier candidates may have turned us down.

Donovan ain't coming man. Especially if the Bulls make the playoffs.Donovan
