Jeez idk if I love 3mil for anything other than a bonafide top3 type of recruit. But I'll trust the staff.

Top 1 is rumored to be 7 Million at BYU, so idk that you are getting top 3 for that price.
Probably not. But I just don't see the value of shelling out $3mil for a one year rental of a freshman recruit who we really dont even know if they will be good or not for us. If they will or won't win us games when it mattered.

In hindsight? 9-seed and a 2nd round loss. Do we think Ace Bailer and Dylan Harper are worth that? Not even in the tournament.
I mean maybe that's what it will take.. but I'd like to think you can build a championship worthy team with starters between 1 and 2mil.. and then a bench in the 6 figure range. But maybe that's not enough. Idk.
If Edgecomb, Harper and/or Ace Bailey played at UK in this system, yeah, I do. Those 3 guys played for coaches that didn't do them any justice.
I mean that's probably true.. well, more so for Ace and Harper. I still think Scott Drew is pretty solid so it's not like VJ is very far off the mark.
Yet still, those guys are there for 1 year. What sort of stats and success make $3mil worth it to you? I'd need to see them be a top2 contributor and likely a Final4.
This money isn't free. And there's a limited number of Kentucky-based businesses that are willing to shell out $3mil for a one-year rental. Unfortunately, I think UK needs to be a little more savvy than some other schools with how it spends its NIL. So for me, a player REALLY needs to be worth it if we're going to give him that type of money.
I tried to tell all of you that KSR has no idea what they are talking about. Last year I had a friend (BringonBama on KSBoard) who openly posted fake info on KSR premium to see what Pilgrim and crew would do and they rode with the info as fact that they were hearing the same thing.
The one guy literally just posted "get ready" two days ago in regards to Dent.
I have a source somewhat close to the program that said that guy has no idea what he is talking about and UK is no where close to paying what that kid wants.

Well Sisk and Graf both said their sources were saying UK led. Idk what they said about money, but on HOB believe that KSR gets a lot of info off HOB. After reading what Acaden Lewis’s dad said about his recruitment, it showed these sources from the basketball world just through crap on the wall and hope it sticks. Everything that said about the kids recruitment was fabricated. Duke’s guys were wrong, the Nike circuit guys were wrong, Sisk and Graf were wrong, etc. in the end they luckily got the right school, but none of the info they were giving was correct.
Well what a damn punch to the gut after that disaster on the court last night!!! Pope better get some dudes is all I have to say Sweet 16’s don’t cut it at a school like UK.
Assessing their value/importance on how their team did is flawed. It is a TEAM sport, your teammates are a huge factor. There aren’t many examples of 1 guy putting a whole team on his back and winning a championship (Manning and Carmello).
Bailey would have been had he been surrounded with help, Harper a tad less but still just as good. They had zero help.
You could stay employed at UK for 20 yrs going to the S16 every year.
He'll do better than a S16 some years and some years he won't.
There's nothing about this season and the circumstances surrounding it that "don't cut it" at UK.
My opinion, Harper being coached by someone who forced him to play within the confines of a system would be fine. But Bailey as your starting PF means you're not serious about challenging for a title.
I think so dude scorched teams. He had 40 on Indiana. One of the best college players I watched all year. He came hit from anywhere and he rebounds. Reminded me of KD.
I'm sure his portal entry was months in the works.
As a players agent, when he tells you where he would prefer to play, your job is to get him the most money from that school.
What better way than to create the illusion that said school is in competition with UK and Duke.

Some don't want to hear that but it's best to avoid guys like Hunter Dickinson no matter how highly they are ranked.
Kansas's main problem this year was too many guys used them for a payday(HD, Storr,Griffen) and didn't give a damn about KU.
