Does this surprise anyone about Little Brother??

^^

the ACorruptConference(ACC) is not some bastion of morality.

This is the same conference that has a coach in its highest academic institution(Duke) that has never dismissed a player.
This is the same conference that has miami in it.
This is the same conference that has had the biggest academic and athletic scandal in the history of the ncaa , **UNCheat, planted firmly in it.

This conference isn't regretting louisville, they actually embrace them.

That was more about my affinity for talent. I dont think Ive ever made my position on UL football a secret. I am impressed with what Ive witnessed since the early 80's and I have a step son that just happens to be a fan of theirs and a mid level booster as well. Up until this past year Ive gone to quite a few of their games . This past year the health was just too bad so I didnt get to see any of their games. Either way its not much of an affinity but I do admire how they pulled themselves up from the ashes and now sit in the ACC. Thats a long way from D2 football and Metro hoops. As for me, I want to win. Plain and simple thats my goal. My point is those kids have worked for them and I dont feel theyve really taken any national heat for the most part. On top of that I can only think of a couple instances where it backfired on them and I know theyve taken a lot of second chance guys. Im not above doing the same thing. If a kid can help you win and you can help him out as well by giving him another chance why wouldnt you do it? Someone is going to. Matter of fact TWO someones on our schedule did take these kids. So now were playing against them. Im just saying lets get one or two of them on our side. If they mess up send them packing. If not we land a player were not normally going to land.

I dont remember if his case was tried out or not but in the end anything those detectives touched over something like a 2 year period was worthless. Some real bad people walked because of their misdeeds.

As far as recruiting guys with records, I dont blame schools that do it. UL has taken a ton of them over the last 15 years or so and only been burned once or twice. And if youre Bama why not take Taylor? Someone is going to take him, possibly someone on their schedule. You give the kid a chance to redeem himself and if he squanders it away he is done. You cut the cord. Have the UL kid or the Bama kid been found guilty in court? That changes things a bit if so but if theyve done their time, paid their fine etc how long are they punished afterwards and who sets that punishment? Its also important to remember that we are living in a moral less world. What I find appalling may not phase you. As for me Im of the opinion that in most cases that you should always take a talented kid that wants to play for you. As long they are eligible and have been found not guilty or if guilty they have served their time and met the requirements of their punishment. We once took a young man that had made some mistakes in his past and he was a model student and player while here. If we dont take that chance we miss out on a great player and even better kid. Id like to see us take a run at some of these kids and Ive felt that way for decades. Like it or not were not landing kids with that talent very often so when one is interested we should listen,
FD...You are right on the "moral less" world and it couldn't be more apparent than at epu...Just look at their coaches and everything else makes perfect sense over there...And we passed on one of those coaches...

Louisville built up their program by racking up Ws against a terrible schedule year after year and by having an athletic dept., fanbase, and media with little to no moral standards or integrity. UK doesn't have any of those things available to it so your pining for UK to go that route doesn't apply.
