I'll believe we upgraded when we win some games that matter next season.
I thought I read he has thrown 25 INTs not sure about that one. 😂Maclin, Gilmore, Rodriguez, among others. The main thing is he will throw it to his own team and not throw it to the opponent. Big upgrade in just that alone.
OL no doubt we could have dummies or skeletons and they would be a huge improvement over what we had last yr.We will never know until they are on the field but it's hard to see on paper.

Some guys see what they want to seeWe will never know until they are on the field but it's hard to see on paper.
At this point, what else do we have besides hope? CMS side hustles took him away from paying attention to detail on the UK football program. At least now he may decide to show up to more practices.Cupcake incarnate wood people conference years aren't the same as the sec. Nice to hope though.
Brown? I have a fuzzy recollection of dropped passes and stopping on routes while the play was not yet over, but, besides that, I already hardley remember him.Hardley Gilmore will make everyone forget Brown, that is if he stays healthy, before seasons end, IMO.
It was just interesting to see what UKs guys had doneCupcake incarnate wood people conference years aren't the same as the sec. Nice to hope though.
That would help the O line,(no holds barred) maybe we could protect the QB that wayFull boar, no holes barred!!
NO... anything saying otherwise is merely coping and spin.We will never know until they are on the field but it's hard to see on paper.
Bingo. ^^^^^^^^No matter who the QB is, it would also help if we would actually call a 5 yard slant instead of deep shots down the sideline or swing passes with relatively little in between. Our QB talent has definitely been spotty at best, but our scheme hasn’t done them any favors. Those kind of short quick throws the rest of the conference makes to look effortless just don’t happen much for us, and I think a lot of it is on the play design and play calling intentionally avoiding those kind of throws even though it makes no sense.
Once again. Scheme. Bend don't break. Hold your gap. If you blitz, you may give up a " chunk" play. Conservative, risk averse coaching scheme on offense and defense. Regardless of who is OC or DC. Same, same. Also can we find someone, to get pressure, to the opposing QB?

Who is the OC at Miami Fla?I agree with a couple of these points. Brown and Key are mehs to me.
It's not like this is the first year the O'line has been a disaster. Ever since Schlarman died the whole thing has been on a deep downhill slope. We have blamed it on the O'line coach every year, even going so far as to fire Yesner.
Well, Yesner went to the Houston Texans. The Texans now have the best O'line in the entire NFL. So...it appears that Yesner wasn't really the issue after all. Nor any of the SIX OCs that have been here.
OCs fault? Well, Tampa Bay is playoff bound, and he who shall not be named, has the fifth ranked scoring offense in his first year.
What about the WRs? I can't say I remember any truly exceptional WRs coming out of this program in the last twelve years. Wandale maybe. What happened to the most talented WR room in UK history? WR coach's fault again? Idk, we've had seven during Stoop's tenure.
Unless the problem is finally identified I can't see it being fixed. If you need a hint the answer rhymes with Poops.
Some dude named Shannon Dawson. Hmmmm...the name sounds familiar. Anyway, they scored something like 45 ppg. Not sure if that is #1 in the nation but it has to be close.Who is the OC at Miami Fla?
Shannon Dawson. CMS's mortal enemy.Who is the OC at Miami Fla?

That is so much coach speak…Stoops and Bush and Wolford had a disaster season….snd Stoops has commanded the ship on quite a few offensive disasters
Last year we were sold Mincey from Tennessee, Farmer from Florida, Brock from UGA, Traynum from Ohio st, etc
Now we’re being sold kids from smaller programs and now we don’t have Brown, Key and some returning players to compliment
As stated the offense couldn’t be any worse…but I don’t see a big uptick to be honest. Smells like stoops and Mitch are just selling crap to cover their awful decisions
I get your point but the Texans Oline hasn’t been good this year lol
Hardley Gilmore will make everyone forget Brown, that is if he stays healthy, before seasons end, IMO.
I love participating in these threads.
I’ve learned a lot about football in 28 years of reading.
Occasionally, with directly contradictory statements, you learn that some have no idea what they are taking about.
In this instance I have no idea which one it is.
I too have learned a great deal about satire from reading this site.
This is what happens you type a whole bunch of words in a short amount of time while prepping for dinner and forget three key ones.
The Texans are better than last year but are considered by some to be above average around 10-12th. Stroud is a blackhole and holds the ball forever.

I hope they are all upgrades. But who knows. We supposedly had one of the best portal classes last off-season and we got 4 wins out of it.
Still need a left tackle, and all kinds of help on the d. Looks like upgrades imo. With Key and Brown getting open was it mostly the o-line s fault or a combo of o-line and them not being physicall enough to?

I just don’t trust a QB from Incarnate word to come in and do anything in the SEC but I’m no talent evaluator or coach. I’d have rather got Malik from Duke. At least he played power FB.Zach Calzada - Incarnate Word Cardinals Quarterback - ESPN

Bingo! There is so much I watch other teams do that I’m like why don’t we do that? Brown was a perfect guy to throw that kind of pass too with his game breaking speed. We rarely even call that kinda throw for a TE.No matter who the QB is, it would also help if we would actually call a 5 yard slant instead of deep shots down the sideline or swing passes with relatively little in between.
