Team and coaches have done good the first half. Gotta keep this going. Come out hungry the second half like we did to start the game
I don't get why we pass it to Ugo. One he doesn't catch it 40% of the time, two he's not gonna make a good read AND a good pass over 50% of the time. Just run Reed or Rob off a screen for a 3 and let it rip.
Auburn killing themselves with terrible shots. Defense much better though
Play design was good, bad pass. Would've liked it more if we used Edward or Thiero on the pick and roll. They handle it better than Ugo.
Which is part of the reason it was a bad play call. Play design? Decent. Running it through a guy who has trouble catching and passing makes it a bad call.

Right, running that play for a guy with bad hands is bad coaching. That was a stupid move, why do you feel the need to simp for Cal?
Coach has to know the guy is capable of making the play. Ugo has shown to have bad hands, gotta call something else there imo.
That's why I said run it with Edwards or Thiero. He ran it to take advantage of the way AU is blitzing the ball screen. If it's with Edwards or Thiero, it's great. Cal does stuff like this that don't make sense to me.
The desing off of the ball screen blitz was good, wish he had used Edwards or thiero though.

Long as it’s not a tale of two halves these kids might finally be on to something defensively. I was hoping Cal would finally call a time out and hold the ball. Now go out and dominate like so many years many of us has seen the Cats do. 💪
Wrong to the highest degree! Ugo had no business being in in that situation. Period.
Cal needs to realize the end of half/game possessions just need to be much easier for this group. In other words, just clear out and let whomever you trust in that moment to drive and score or draw a foul.
