Diallo scheduled to play 5 on 5 at combine

poor kid. cant win. all he did is what any of us would have done. didnt hurt anything or anyone. yet now some loud and rentless "fans" are going to be cheering against him to fail in hopes he will come back. and if he kills it...more anger/hate will be directed toward him.
Il never root against him, im not mad at him. Im just frustraded we for whatever reason could not utilize his talents. Even if he comes back that will always make me shake my head because he is a awsome player, wish him the best.

You guys really need to relax

As fisher and a few others have mentioned on twitter, this gives the indication that he is leaning to return. Unless he gets real assurance of a first round, he is prepping for the next draft and getting himself more visable to scouts.

How so? He has nothing to gain really.

This tells me he is a strong lean to come back and wants feedback on what he needs to work on
This is where I get distracted. A player goers to the combine to find out what he needs to improve. Fine.

When he comes back to school, does he work on those issues or do what his college coach needs for the team to be successful.

Say Bam is the best center option next year, but the combine tells him to go back to school and work on his 3 pointer. What does he do. Play underneath and be a force or play the 3 and shoot outside shots.

You're the same guy that has totally discredited more of our players than I can remember. Alot of times you are really nasty about it as well........and you never miss a chance to bash the living crap out of our fanbase. A guy that shamelessly bashes our players going on a rant about a guy that's never even suited up as a Cat..... It takes all kinds, I tell ya.

UK fans think since Diallo is playing 5 on 5 he is leaning towards return. Louisville fans think since Mitchell isn't playing 5 on 5 he is leaning toward a return.

Which one is "more" right?
I think Diallo playing in the 5 on 5 is more indicative of a return. Greater chance to expose your weaknesses in front of numerous scouts and therefore you become less of a mystery as a prospect.

Monk is a projected top 7 pick on average and he's skipping the combine. Mitchell skipping it seems to me is leaning towards staying in the draft. (He should).

Hmmm. Your question or distraction makes no sense. And aren't you a troll?

Anyways he does both. He improves with the team and as a unit. And works on his weaknesses

It's insane that we have "fans" rooting against Kentucky players so they'll come back and play for our dreams instead of theirs. That's how Louisville fans think. Be better.
i am not rooting one way or another he up to this point has not stepped on the floor as a kentucky player so they are not rooting against a UK player being he probably never will play for kentucky

Being a first round pick or even a borderline first round pick shows great potential. If he is already considered this good already, I can only imagine where he will be next year in blue!

I am not one to wish the kid to fail; if this is what he wants, then go for it.
My issue is those who regard him has a UK player; which he is not. He is/was a recruit who signed with UK.
For that, I wish him well.
I understand Diallo came in with this "plan" all along; I get this.
My concerns is going forward.
Will we see this situation again? Will the next recruit be so honest with his intentions or will he just leave high school early, enroll at UK, practice against some of the best players in the college game, get great instruction, use super facilities, tell Coach Cal he is here to play and then go to the NBA and leave the team hanging?
Will this become the next great thing with recruits?

There is a part of me that thinks this could out to be the opening of a can of worms that could go good or bad.
What if this continued to take place around college basketball. More coaches than not will be screaming and if the NCAA got involved, who knows what they would do.

As for as Diallo, I truly hope he finds what he is looking for. If not, come to UK and let Coach Cal help you find that dream.

Also why does anyone care if someone is considered a Kentucky player or not? Is that just all you have left to criticize Diallo for?

Is Richie Farmer a wildcat? Is Daniel Orton? Michael Porter? Shawn Kemp? Kyle Wiltjer? Why? What does it mean? Are you sending them Christmas cards?

I don't read it that way. I think its more likely that he's been told that if he wants to get into the 1st rd, he has to play. Period. If he plays well or even decent, with his age and other attributes, someone will take him in the 1st rd. If he plays poorly he'd stay in the 2nd round but probably return, I would think. I'm not going to root in either direction.

Not only do I count Shawn Kemp, but I even count Dwight Anderson from his time spent at USC.

Why do you act like you're the adjudicator of how fans define players? What concern is it of yours? Personally, yes, Farmer, Orton, Porter and Wiltjer are wildcats. They played. Kemp is not and to this point, neither is Diallo.

Yes, barely, sadly yes, no, absolutely, why not, absolutely nothing, and sure, along with a lock of hair from each which I happened to find on the ground.

Hope that helps.

Yes, No, No, No, Yes. Left in good standing. Lied and didn't finish classes. Sick pervert who lost his right to be called a Wildcat. Never commited or played. Of course, why wouldn't he be. No to the last question.
