I see other young qbs with the play fake rollout, dump off to the TE. Nobody uses their TEs less than Uk.

Keaton is a stud, so that’s smart on Kentuckys part. Destin is a WR trying like hell to be a QB. Some schools were honest with him about that.
I expected this to be a tough outing for Destin . But I have to admit, I never expected him to look this slow and unathletic. Reminds me a lot of Joey Gatewood .
Maybe a TE - he ain’t no WR.
Not only that but when they recruited him they promised to give a shot at quarterback. He’s getting his shot .

As usual the play calling is the problem and coaching, high school caliber offensive system and coaches and alot of wasted talent
Ya not even blown away by his athleticism. I mean he’s more athletic than the average QB but he’s not some incredible athlete. Arm looks fine at best and decision making isn’t good. That said he is a true freshman
Sherron won’t be here next year - why would he, UK has shown they’ll go get portal guys. So there’s no point in starting him even if he’s better than Wade (he likely is, how could he not be?). Makes sense to start Wade because it fulfills UKs promise and keeps his bro happy. It’s isn’t rocket science guys
How about the QB from Indy Joker tried to groom...I forget his name...the only thing Destin is missing is falling down on his own...but wait, we have another half to go...so sad
Agree...thought he was supposed to be fast and quick. He's neither. And his decision making and arm strength speaks volumes to 2 pick 6
I said it in another thread, he isn't a D1 QB. His throwing motion is awful, to say the least. He reminds me of Morgan Newton, who probably would be best suited to bulk up and try his hand at TE. Even then he is a little on the slow/unathletic side. But you have to try to keep him happy so Keaton stays on the team.
True . The best thing about bowl games like this are practice time and game action for young players.
Staff must be relieved that Wade has played so poorly (2 pic-sixes) as it hides their completely inept game plan for the offense. Absolutely no tight-end target, no imagination. Putrid. And people think Coen is going to rescue us.
It seems Stoops hates to play QBs or have them on his teams. No development in any year.
And yet the announcers keep saying how athletic he is. I don't see it either. Reminds me of how the announcers always gushed over Morgan Newton's athleticism and he was slower than molasses.
I know we won't do it but we really need a backup TRUE QB out of the portal. No more athletes who are trying to become a QB.

Wade threw 2 TD passes today, problem was they were to the wrong colored jersey.

Really wanted Wade to be the guy in ‘24, but I don’t see that as much of a possibility now. Kid is an athlete, but he’s definitely a thrower, and not a true passer. That could change, but definitely needs more than a year to get there.

You would think the Lynn Bowden QB season would have taught Stoops to make room for a decent backup QB or 3. We better hope Leary's tit heals up good as new
