Dane Key

If he goes he goes, it's his choice and I have to stand by most of the player's who gave at least some sweat and blood to help UKFB... He seemed to be a good kid and as far as I know he was never in trouble off campus...
Sure he got into a heated moment during a couple games, I would have too... I always played to win no matter what and gave my all on every play... That is all we can ask for from these young men...

It does make you question why no decision has been made yet.

Until he announces that he's going elsewhere, then I will hold onto some hope. The portal closes on Saturday, December 28.

It could mean he is taking his time to make sure he makes the best decision or that he knows as a legacy, taking time shows deliberation and suggests a possible stay at UK, which helps soften the blow and does not do as much damage to his relationship with UK (and reputation among BBN - don’t want to run away too fast).

Rumor has long been UGA. What is interesting is there have not been any transfers into the Bulldogs confirmed yet (https://247sports.com/season/2025-football/transferportal/?institutionkey=24100&status=committed). It could be that UGA is trying to limit "distractions" until after the playoffs and instead have handshake deals in place (including one with Key). It is very interesting Key news has been very quiet.

It could be that UGA is trying not to send its depth into the portal, especially before a playoff game.

His best days are ahead of him ... somewhere other than Lexington under Stoops. Smart kid for leaving and unfortunate for him staying as long as he did. He will have a great pro career, IMO. He just needs some quality coaching surrounding himself with a culture of winning. JMO.

I think this is it. Limited distractions till end of season.

I hate losing dane but hate it more we'll play against him. Doesn't feel right.

As a footnote, its interesting to wonder how much the wr coach departing impacted his decision. Iirc I saw dane visited nu, so that indicates a level of respect.
