You say that like he has a choice. I think he'd love to go back to the NBA. But the NBA no longer wants him.
Remember after he got fired by the Nets, he didn't immediately go back to college, instead he took a job as an NBA assistant to try to stay in the league. It was only after it became clear that nobody would hire him for an HC job that he reluctantly returned to college at Memphis.
That was revealing as to where his heart really is. He didn't want to return to college ball, instead he had to.
