Merry Christmas from the Berg! I hope y'all have a great day with your family!! Mrs. M has been sick the past few days, hopefully she is on the mend, at least she sounds better. I had breakfast with my twisted sister and the rest, well most of our family this morning, she does the whole spread every Christmas morning. I really appreciate what she does, she is trying very hard to keep our family connected!

Merry Christmas to all of you good people here.

First Christmas in years without more people in the house. Just me, my wife, and daughter. I believe my wife enjoyed the day better although she misses her brother who used to come over with their mother but are now in Florida. Her mother used to drive her nuts (me too). My old karate instructor and his nieces used to come but had other plans this year. I am glad myself as the noise level was way down.

Hello all,

It was me, My Darling, my two girls, and two grand babies. My Darling cooked way too much, I cooked the meat, baby back ribs and a pot roast I made in the oven. (Have neighbors two doors down that we made extra for, his wife has been receiving treatments for cancer at 81 years old, he is 76.

(My youngest was his nurse on Fort Belvoir at the hospital and he mentioned her several times when we talked. He didn't know her name or that she was my daughter.) My daughter knew who he was after we talked a couple times as I mentioned it to her, still not knowing she was his nurse. She was very happy as she is very good at her job and tries hard.

We cooked enough for them. His wife is Korean like My Darling and they are good people. He is retired Army. (He and I hit it off nearly immediately when we moved here. He talks a lot but is conscious of how much he talks but he knows how to talk and I enjoy listening to him...)

All are gone now except me and My Darling. Way too full to sleep but I would if I could.

Took apart my youngest daughters toilet yesterday to replace the guts and clean it. Had a bolt rusted and it took me a long while to drill it out without breaking the water tank. I have it ready to put back but....tomorrow. (The hard work is done...) Had to take some pain pills the last couple days. Normally I do not need them..

Watching Half Past Dead right now. Almost finished. May watch another movie shortly. Too full to even drink a Yuengling. Have a peaceful rest of your night(s)... Off work the rest of the week so...

I am thankful...

Good morning folks.

This will go down in family annals as the year Christmas extended into the 26th.

My son finally got to a DC area airport at 6pm last night-36 hours after he arrived at the airport in Austin and 28 hours late. We decided to hold off opening presents til this morning, which we will do a little later.

But we had a fantastic Christmas dinner after I got Jack home from the airport with ten people in my home —mostly my wife’s relatives from Manhattan along with a cousin of hers from Ireland on a visit to the states, along with my daughter’s boyfriend. It was a grand, fun time.

I hope it was a Merry Christmas for all of you.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 57°F and cloudy. Chance for thunderstorms late this afternoon. Today's high may reach 75°F.

Hope y'all had a memorable Christmas. Cornish hen turned out well.

Have a good one.
