Good morning folks. Short week and working from home.

It was a restful Sunday. Watched a crazy Cowboys-Commanders game yesterday. It was 3-3 at the half, 10-9 well into the 4th quarter, and ended up 34-27. In the last five minutes Dallas scored three touchdowns, including a kickoff return 101 yards and a TD off an onsides kick. Washington scored an 80-plus yard TD on an impossible Hail Mary inside a minute only to have the PAT missed that would have tied the game. It was the wildest five minutes of an NFL game I've seen in my life. And as I have hated Washington for eyars, a satisfying one.

Grinding out a work day, and looking forward to T-Day. Have a good day folks.

You guys enjoy the day and hopefully you have tomorrow off to prepare for Thanksgiving. My wife took the day off to prepare most of the food (she always does). Only problem is that our electric range had two burners quit working yesterday. Still, she can do it with the two left and the double oven. We have a turkey cooker that is set up in the garage so... The range was installed when this house was built in 2003 so we will decide this weekend whether to order the parts (need to look at burners with range top off) to see if we can replace or, buy a new range. Ahhh, the money pit.

God Bless the D-League.

My oldest grandson called last night. Him and his family are going to be in Lexington for Thanksgiving........... He wanted to know if I wanted to go to Friday's game with him................(the last game I saw in person was with him)................... That was a dumb question......I haven't even looked at the schedule to see who they play.................I forget who the Cats played but I remember two things that night...........Patrick Paterson was a beast and hurt his hand in the game..........Perry Stevenson was a very rude person.......literally pushed my grand son out of the way when approached for an autograph.........the boy got every signature on the team......even BG took the time to stop and sign the kid's UK hat.........I guess he was butt hurt because BG didn't play him enough.......he was pushing past everyone.........

Good morning from Burbach, Germany. Currently 39°F. Nearly 4:55 am local time,

Visited with relatives yesterday. Plan on cleaning up later and will pay "Tante Doris" (aunt Doris) a visit in nearby Dillenburg hospital later this morning.

Full day ahead. Must prep banana pudding and dressing later today. May nap in a few.

Glad Cats won last night.

Pictures on the way soon. Y'all behave.

Not the picks I cherish Sir! (But thanks!)
One of these days I will have time to come back full time........The Director is trying to get all the mileage she can out of the old mule........She wanted the pool gone, the deck reconfigured with additional ground level pavers.......and a nice Koi pond where the 18' x 33' pool was..........the deck was ate up from the chlorine.....I want a lifetime deck......I used 5/4" wood the first go around with 2 x 12 joist on 16" centers.........now she want Trek decking and it has to be on 12" centers......so basically rebuilding the whole deck......there is a post in the middle of roof over one 10' x 20' section......she wants the center post removed.........She also added that when I got her Koi pond finished I would have room to build an additional 14' on my pigeon loft........if I can live that long.....

Good morning everyone.

Whew, tough game to watch last night. I had just told my wife that the game shouldn't go too long since we don't foul much and play a style that we don't draw many fouls either. Not as fun for us to watch, but we need these type games. I really didn't expect it from Western. They are going to be a good team.

Leaf blowing on tap for today. They just keep coming. lol That is one thing bad about living high on the hill ( but a whole lotta mountain above us) that I haven't figured out a better system. 2 weedeaters and a wife willing to help is the best I got.

We're going to my parents tomorrow for Thanksgiving. There should be about 45 there in the not small but cluttered house. They've been in the same house now for nearly 50 years. Get there early to get a seat.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning folks.

Good win for Cats. A tough game to watch and not an efficient performance. The kind of game we’ve seen talented freshmen allow to slip away in recent years. But last night the Cats didn’t panic and stayed focused.

My favorite part of the game was Coach Pope’s postgame interview. I came away from that assured good results would come from a ragged performance.

Long work day ahead, then T-Day! I hope you all are settling into a terrific holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving - early.

Today installed toilet grab bar since have knee replaced in two weeks. Simple, right? Well, ends needed to be screwed into stud for strength. Makes sense. So the first 36" bar wouldn't work w/o angling significantly which I didn't want. So returned for 32" one - 16" distance between studs, right? Well, turns out the ones available are like 31-31.5" apart. And each end's plate with pre-cut holes needs 3 heavy screws at somewhat different distances apart.

Finally figured I need to angle the outside screws towards the middle. Even though I drilled pilot holes as instructed, managed to strip the heads of two Phillips' going in. Backed one out. The other head was too stripped to budge. So I had to cut the head off with a hack blade held in hands. PITA. Had to make trip to HD to get replacement screws.

Anyway, 2.5 hrs later it's done - except for minor drywall repairs where I drilled holes in unacceptable widths.
