Watching the Bengals and Steelers right now 17-3 Bengals I noticed Benny Snell lined up in the backfield of the Steelers with what looked liked a UK mouth piece.

Gold MemberIts been a very long time since I've witnessed a UofL team that unprepared. I'm not taking anything away from UK as they were very well prepared but it doesn't take much to beat a team like UofL was last night. For those that are encouraging UofL to fire this coach and staff - that ain't gonna happen. What assurance would hiring a new coach and staff give us that that we would be more competitive in the annual game against UK? What I do want to do is to make damn sure that CSS and staff are aware how disgusted the fan base is with the unpreparadness of our team last night. If UK fans think that they are really that much better than we are then they are just being silly. What really pisses me off more than anything is our kids seemingly not giving a rat's ass about making a real effort when they got down. Because they simply quit and that's on everybody that has anything to do with UofL football. CSS must do better because it sure wasn't on the fanbase last night. We showed up 55,000 strong and the only time I saw any fire in this football team was during the fight in the 1st quarter/half. CSS you and your staff simply must do better against our entire schedule.
Maybe 20 years ago, a guy from California called me. He had imported lamp shades from China and sold them to the Opryland hotel. They were replacing every shade in the hotel, but every shade in the place had something wrong with it. Opryland was mad at him. He wanted me to take a crew, go to Nashville and go room to room and repair the shades. I don't know what was wrong with them or if they could be fixed easily, but I figured since they bought from china, they should ask China to come over. I told them no.

Good afternoon folks of the D-League. I am back safely from seeing the folks in the Shelbyville, KY area. I got to see all of my little family. We drank, ate and had fun.
Just for the record: ham is better than turkey.
The basketball Cats and the football Cats each kicked ass. My family members are rabid. The kids did not fall far from Bert and Sherry's tree.
The football Cats were simply great. I was hoping for a strong win, but they gave us a ass whupping. 14 of UL's points were gifts because Stupps was being a classy person and emptied the bench to keep from runnin' up the score. I was hoping that we would keep the margin higher and the horrible 32! Evenn 32 is a beatdown but 52 to 7 would have been far better.

So, Kentucky and the Bengals beat the two hated rivals Louisville and the Steelers a combined 93 to 31, with some of those points given up in trash time.

That's the way I see it too. Our best beat their best 45-7.
It's a good thing though that our redshirt guys got a chance to play in these last 2 games without losing the year. More game time for them now should yield good results in the future.

As I recall, 2 shares to UK, 1 share each to other SEC members, and one share to SEC office. Net, Vandy gets richer while sucking & don't really care.
They get a share from every bowl the SEC plays in which is 9 this year. Add in the money they get from the SECNetwork deal and they're doing pretty good.

I think if it’s a package deal, Mark Stoops made himself much more attractive to a powerhouse program with Liam Coen at OC. Or even just by showing he’s open-minded about offense. Why I don’t think Oklahoma is a crazy possibility for him.

14.5 hour ride from White Castle in Bowling Green to here in ATX. That new 1921 slider is excellent.
Two near-wrecks almost got me in Arkansas on I-40. Traffic stopped completely heading westbound. Crazy. Pup and wife happy I'm back. I plan on cleaning up and resting before turning in the rental car.
Cats men's soccer lost a sweet-16 heart-breaker to Clemson. Bah.
Central Michigan visits Rupp tonight. Game starts at 7 pm via stream.

Busy week ahead. The pace will pick up on all fronts between now and Christmas, then back to the office in downtown DC after New Year’s. Not looking forward to that.

Notre Dame and Cincy should be out if Cincy loses or struggles in any way with Houston. Entire B1G is overrated by virtue of preseason rankings, but so is the ACC, but you're probably right in how this plays out. No way there are 3 teams better than Alabama, but the SEC BEING SO GOOD hurts the SEC. Media pubishes em for it every year

We had a low of 42° as we head up to 65° with plenty of sun and no rain. The golf courses will be busy.
I am still celebrating a sound whipping of the Dirty Birds as we sit around waiting to find out what bowl we are going to. What a time to be a UK football fan. 9-3 is not bad but we all know we could have had another win or two had we played up to our potential in those two games. That makes me feel good knowing we can get better and better and better.
An increase in our recruiting budget to the level of the powerhouse SEC teams will bring 4 and 5 stars regularly. Good times

Cats with another game the Cats should win convincingly tonight, though Central Michigan did play SEC team Missouri to a ten-point game.
Unlike many, and I assume some in the D-League, I don't mind a run of cupcakes (minus Duke) to start the season. I actually think the cancellation of almost all the November and early December cupcakes last year kept the team from jelling. There were roughly eight near-certain wins canceled, and that haunted the team all year.
In any case, I hope Kentucky has a full roster tonight going into the game and a healthy roster coming out. That, along with a W of any type, will be enough for me.

I do miss the December home and home matchups with the likes of UNC and Kansas though. And getting to know the players. And the preseason tournaments in tropical locations. Oh, and the UK sports network broadcasts. And a strong dollar....

The last game that I was unable to record directly before the Albany game was the Missouri game in Maui November 26, 1997, when ESPN did not telecast the games of the losers the day before and they would not give the UK Network the rights to the game. Now ESPN has rights to most of the games as the creation of the SEC Network. So ESPN is going into the streaming business where they can control access to the games and they could care less about UK fans.
I miss the guys on the UK Network because they were vested into UK and called the games with a passion the ESPN guys can only fake. Plus, to my knowledge, there is not one commentator involved in basketball broadcasting with a Kentucky background. I also don't think that that is an accident.
