Good morning from ATX. Currently 26°F and clear. Today's high is expected around 52°F. No water. Electricity and gas both working, thankfully. Yesterday, we reached 43°F for our high. It felt great. Much easier to work outside. Austin spent consecutive 142 hours below freezing and set a new record. Old record was 140 hour set in 1983. Hope to collect more dripping water today as rooftop snow is nearly melted.

Good morning D-League. It's currently 15° and sunny here, with a high of 32° expected today. After today the highs will be mostly in the mid to upper 40's, and the lows in the low to mid 30's. The best part is no snow or ice in the forecast.
Good morning folks. Back from a walk in the cold - 20 degrees here with a biting wind.
Taking it easy today. My son is in from Lexington - all his classes are online so he might as well be home where he can play hoops with his high school buddies.
Hopeful, if not confident, about today. I always felt in my playing days there was a tactical advantage when played a team you lost to before that outweighed the psychological advantage of having beaten a team. Yes, you gained confidence with a win but you learned a lot more about what you needed to change in a loss.
Of course, if one team is just flat out better all that doesn’t matter much. And Tennessee’s guards may just be that much better.

I went to get my second covid 19 shot yesterday and it was quick. My appointment was for 12:00. I left early thinking the roads may be icy; I flew there on dry clean roads. I was out of the shot center twenty minutes before my appointment.
While I was waiting my ten minutes the doctor who is there for problems if they happened struck up a conversation with me. He graduated UK medical school with my good friend Bill Mitchell. So it was wonderful to tell lies about my buddy Bill.

Sawnee, I'm not sure they have exactly owned us. Since Cal has been here, we are 14-10 against them, and that includes the loss this year, and one when Noel got hurt.
They certainly have won more than I like, and my wish is that we pull one out today, but I just don't see it. However, if they keep improving, we have a puncher's chance. Hope springs eternal.

Well, I'm going to do my part to get some good vibrations going - watching some memorable games from Knoxville out of my Blu Ray collection -- Meek's 54, a year in the early 2000s when Tubby took an underdog team down there and won, the Anthony Davis year where the game was close for a half -- and Tennessee brought in Jarnell Stokes as a mid-season addition and Jimmy Dykes couldn't stop talking about his shoe size and how few practices he'd had. Folks, I am not a nice person. I knew at the start of the game that UK would get screwed by UT and the 'stupid' SEC officials. Well we did.
BUT, UK played a fine game and even the SEC officials and UT could not screw UK out of the win.
It has been a long time coming, but it came.

They are improving. If they continue to do so, they at least will have a hope of possibly winning the conference tournament. Winning four in a row is tough.
Great game. Really impressed at these kids for sticking together, staying focused, and getting better - which they are.

If we could make up the game with USC, we could possibly get a bye and only have to win 3 games for a Tournament Championship. There is plenty of time since we and USC play our last game on Tues. the 2nd, and the first round would not begin until Wed, the 10th.
