Bert I ran across an interesting article in a magazine this morning of a resident from Smith Grove. His name is Jonathan McChesney and his father ran a Texaco station in Smith Grove. I think Jonathan worked there as a boy. One of the customers was a Kentucky State Police Trooper who was assigned a 1990 Fox Mustang 5.0 out of the Bowling Green post. The car was special made for the KSP and only 4 were purchased by the KSP. Bowling Green got one of them.

As a teenager Jonathan dreamed of owning a Fox Mustang and becoming a State Trooper. He became a State Trooper on February 14, 1999 and on January 23, 2006 he was able to locate the owner of the KSP car he had dreamed of owning as a boy. He bought it and has restored to exactly as it would appear in 1990.

I thought that was a neat story in a national magazine. Here is a photo out of the magazine of the Trooper and his antique State Police car. Do you know any McChesneys in Smith Grove?

Johnny fixes my lawn mower at Johnny's Texaco.

His son is a State Trooper.

His best friend is a retired bird Colonel in the U.S. Army. (Notice: he is a Southern Baptist Sunday teacher. Beware of those!)

Johnny is first class and can fix any damned thing that runs.

Good folks.

Amazing. His son made a feature in a national magazine.

I am going to take it, when available. From what I have read, the only concern is that there could be long term health effects from the vaccine, and they think those concerns are very minimal. The way I look at it, is that at my age, I'm concerned about the present. Long term isn't a real concern when you are almost 70. If I was 35 and healthy, I might think twice, but not now, and at my age.
As soon as I can, I will take it.

I have faith in the "science". Not the faith that Joe has in the 'science'. He does not know shit from "science". He is a retard. :)

Not to throw cold water on our hopes BUT

Notre Dame has 7 players
The Cats were down by 22 at the half and this is the most in Rupp Arena history.
Notre Dame is not good much less great
UK is 1-4
Some better teams are coming up.
Still no point guard
Tennessee is good

If we make the NCAA it will be a miracle.

Yes.

And I remember Cal blasting the Cats over the schedule.

In the mean time I am praying for a miracle, if the stupid NCAA has the balls to hold an NCAA Tourney.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 54°F and cloudy. Expecting a little rain possibly around 10-11 am. We sure need it. Today's high may reach 71°F. Gusty winds coming later this evening.

Shopping and chores are on my agenda this morning. Must also take our pup in for a bath+haircut.

Wishing happiness and health to all our fellow D-League members.

Good Sunday morning

We are ready for church and looking forward to some good music and sermon.

Our temperature is 61° and we have fog which is starting to burn off as the sun comes out. A 1% chance of rain and the high should reach 75°. Winds are WSW at 5 MPH. Not a bad Lord's Day.

I trust all is well and we are saying a special prayer for Bev and her family. As we go through life it seems we are hit with questions and issues only God can answer.

Have a great day all,

Cheaters. They double dip by having a National Hot Chocolate day, too. Oh well, we can use both.

  • Good Morning, Folks.
  • We had high 40s this morning mixed in with fog, but the fog is gone now.
  • We attended a heck of a party last evening. It was a Christmas-House-warming-Happy Birthday (first) and Welcome Home (to one of the U.S. Army's latest Rangers. It was much fun. Of course you know that the baby stole the show. But it was a lot of fun for all.
  • #3 brought me a "Ranger" shirt. I had hoped he would.
  • See you next time.
  • You know, as you were and carry on.

Thankful to see your name Don. Always a treat when you pay us a visit. We are proud of the New Ranger. That is quite an accomplishment in life and only the best get to experience it.
