Good morning from Nolin Lake near Anneta, KY. Currently 55°F, overcast with occasional light rain. Loving this weather.

Rental car averaged 31 mpg. I drove 465 miles non-stop from Malvern, AR to Smiths Grove, KY in 6.5 hours. Huge gas tanks and economical cars are nice.

@Bert Higginbotha : Y'all are correct about gasoline prices prices at Marathon in Chalybeate and Brownsville. 20 cents per gallon difference. I filled up in Chalybeate. Had a wonderful visit with y'all. Amazing fish. Thanks.

My wife attended in person but I watched on line. The doctor told me to play it safe for a few months because of my recent major surgeries. He said you may not feel it but you immune system may be compromised. Build it back 100% before taking a risk.

Our area has not been hard hit by COVID but I still need to use common sense and caution.

The only problem, Sawnee, is that she might bring it back to you.

I hope if we do have a Harris / Biden administration they do not turn back the clock on China. We were starting to return manufacturing jobs to America and China was being treated the way they treat us. That may change as well as many other things. China owns certain politicians.

I have to laugh out loud at this hope Sir. Do you or anyone actually think all of a sudden Biden and his ilk will go pro-America??? Yeah, I have a bridge to sell but even I would not stoop that low to sell in that situation.

Oh, A Blessed day to you all. I'd hope that all is well for you. May a chance to serve the Lord come your way! To God be the Glory!

I think the wife and I have contracted that vermin of China. My wife is worse than I am but I am in hopes it is more the annual changing of the weather cold or flu I seem to get this time of year. I have followed my usual routine of Nyquil equivalents for several days now and have a slight cough but nothing more.. My daughter was almost sure to have contracted it.

I know whom I have believe in...

Correct. He and Hunter are in bed with the Reds.

You do know me well enough to know every word was typed with tongue in cheek and in jest. I wouldn't trust Joe Biden if he said the sun was coming up tomorrow. Not a word out of his mouth

Prayers you have not contacted the dreaded COVID . I know it is rampant in some parts of the country. Is your part of America shutting down?

I know Sir, I know I could totally trust you.

Who knows what stupid Virginia is doing... I quit watching news. Just trying to keep going long enough for my family to get through this...

Tested Positive today...feeling fine. A little feverish, joint aches and pains. Somewhat fatigued. Not sure where I picked it up from...?
I’ll be alright. Thanksgiving is a wash though
I have the Covid Blues just from hiding out since March observing the mounting cost, likely higher than the impact of the infection. You never know so caution is in order. Be smart. And thanks for sharing as this serves to keep me aware. Not a day passes without blessings being tossed your direction diseased or not.
Hate that for you, but my wife and I both recovered from it.

Cheap imports is the problem I have with a high minimum wage from a manufacturer's viewpoint . . . This artificially high minimum wage/cheap import thing has a far greater reach than most people realize.
The higher wages also act to accelerate the cost efficiency of human replacement with robotics.

Good point. Even lower wage jobs have a value to society. Everyone will not be able to have the skills, knowledge, abilities, or desire to prepare themselves for the best jobs. I'd rather have those people doing something productive than sitting at home living off the gov.

I agree, Will Robinson.

Strange time of year when you see the laziness of people not taking down their Halloween decorations and the over anxious people putting up their Christmas stuff. At least there are a few that don't skip over Thanksgiving.

I went ahead and put up my Christmas lights, and trees. I don't light them up until Thanksgiving evening, but I wanted to get the outside lights up while the weather was cooperating. The grandkids want the trees lit when they come for Thanksgiving dinner. Yes, that's right Andy. There will be more than eight of us.

We always put our Christmas decorations up the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I'll probably put the outdoor wreaths and spotlights out the day after or before depending on the weather.

It just struck me as funny while walking the dog yesterday. There was one house decorated as a graveyard and the house next to it had a manger scene.

I really feel for the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is a state that has been over run with outsiders and unfortunately all must suffer. The residents in the Western part of the state are totally different than in Northern Virginia.

My father's side were Virginians before they were Kentuckians. They lived in SW Virginia. My g-grandfather was born in Virginia and it became West Virginia when he was in his late teens but he never accepted the change. He died a Virginian at heart with a body in West Virginia. But he never lived more than 5 miles from the place of his birth.

I saw a house a couple of blocks from me that had pumpkins and scarcrows out, Halloween decorations in part of their yard, with Christmas lights already lit. There should be a law.

People need to work. That is the hidden agenda in communism taking over this country. No self-worth....

I have little confidence that UK can do jack shit.

They have to be the most inexperienced team UK has ever put on the floor.

I watched Big Blue Madness Friday night and I only knew one kid, Brooks. Geeze.
I didn't watch it and have no idea who we have on our team. But KSR will hype them and talk about National Championships, hanging number 9 and so forth. Then we have to go to Knoxville and BAM, they get hit in the mouth and come back across that Jellico Mountain wondering what in the heck happened.

There is no heart in blm. No way to win with no heart.

When I drove back to Kentucky during the summer the rental car I drove got about the same in gas milage.

Well, you can understand it, if it happens this year. UT is picked to win the SEC. This team is young, but somehow, Cal gets them ready by February. Happens almost every year. I don't think this year is any different. That's what makes Cal great.

Ben, I am rapidly losing faith in Cal's formula.

Experience means a lot. UK this year has none.

I have just ignored the roster names and tried not to get to know them as I once did. Crazy. Few will be around next season. I wish all of them well and hope they have a nice pro career. I see the NBA is paying lots and lots of money and contracts are running as much as $150 million for some of them. Nice.

Cal formula wins and lot of games, and the players get rich but few championships. We have one title in 22 years but have put out like 50 NBA players. Cal has said his goal is to end generational poverty and promote social justice. Apparently he has mastered that part of his job.

During my working career I rented a lot of cars, several a week, most all with AVIS since my company had a contract with them.

But I never thought about renting when I went on vacation. I might do that in the future. My daughter did that last year when she went up to Memphis and it worked out well. She had just bought a new Audi and did not want to put miles on it. :)

What did Rooster ever do to you? hahahaha

With all due respect to you Ben, you’re right, he does. But, I am at the point where I really don’t care anymore. I just miss the days of watching a team build and grow for 3-4 years, not 3-4 months. Guess I’m old fashioned and resistant to change, but that’s what I am. And it ain’t gonna change, pardon the pun. I didn’t watch madness, and probably won’t watch the first few games this year, if they play them. Can’t believe I’ve lost so much interest, but it is what it is.

With our team of greenhorns. I'd feel much better with Immanuel and Nick but I wouldn't stay if I was getting drafted. Madness stunk. Pro Day was much better (see below). So I'd think the first thing I'd do is start a classic lineup. Like a Sarr-c, Ware-pf, Toppin-sf, Askew-pg & Mintz-sg. Then say 7 or 8 minutes platoon to Brookes, Allen, Fletcher, Clarke & Boston in a position accelerated pace onslaught. Just to get the team loose before the game time teaching starts, freak out opposition coaches and the confuse the media.
Pro Day Linky
There is no heart in blm.
That's because it's based on fallacies.
Cal seceded a whole lot of his greatness, Sir.
Too me, Cal consistently does what he believes is best for the players and their families. His players are like everyone else in they won't care what he knows until they know how much he cares. He only has 1 year for sure. Maybe 2, at best 3, & rarely 4/5. He can't start by alienating the boys when teaching them to think for themselves so they can become leaders not trained lemmings.

Since we are discussing UKBB, I can honestly tell you I know nothing about this years team...again. I don't know who, if any have returned from last season and know nothing about any of the players coming in...other than the hype that I've occasionally read on the BB board. But, I will do as I always do and WAIT and see what shows up on the floor when the games start. Preseason hype is a waste of my time. Lets see what this seasons group of new players can do.

While I believe my 2007 F150 would make it, I did not want to take the chance. With over 125k miles on it and it being a V8 I figured the money spent on a rental that saved gas would come out about the same.

I watched madness until Cal started yapping about blm so, I shut it off. If he starts that during games, I am finished with them this year. I have not watched football so far this year so...

That is a good solid plan. At my age I may never buy another vehicle. I know for sure I will not buy a new one. I restored my 2000 PU and it has about 190,000 miles but the engine is in excellent shape as is the transmission. My wife has an Audi Q5 and it is the best traveling car we have owned. Smooth and fast as a cheetah. So if we travel in a vehicle this is what we would take. But I am going to strongly consider the rental route.

Thanks for mentioning it Warrior and Austin. I pick up a lot of good sound information on the D League
