ribs and a roll of bologna going on the smoker in a few...sides will be slaw, modified baked beans, and mac n cheese.
going to finish up my concrete fountain and get back in service, had some leaks so in drained, dried it, out and applied two coats of flex seal..works great and looks good once it dries.
pool to vac later
grass mowed, azaleas planted, clematis' also in the ground.
getting lots of maters and cucumbers
my electric bill is gonna be sickening, house ac, garage ac, pool pump, and many outdoor lights, plus the usual ran stuff...may need to get a loan
also need to change oil on my suv, tomorrow job.
Y'all stay outta the heat or if ya have to be make sure to hydrate accordingly

I'm watching Cowboys and Aliens...I've seen it a couple of times but I still like watching it.

Now I'm watching the "Last of the Mohicans". One of my all time favorite movies....and one of my ALL TIME Favorite Soundtracks. I love the music from that movie!

Yes he did. I have the DVD of it but every time I come across it on the TV I still watch it. I've probably watched it 20+ times.
The wife and I went to Chimney Rock in NC where they filmed some of the movie. Great Geography/Geology there!

So true! Dan took early retirement and moved back last year. Enjoying being a Granddad. Still has one daughter in St. Louis.

Howdy D-League brutal heat here today. Took a walk at 6 pm and was swiftly drenched in sweat. It was 98 here at that hour.
Just finished a job I wasn’t looking forward to- moving a huge ancient, dead refrigerator out my basement and up a steep slope where the county junk haulers can get it. Damn thing had to weigh 250 pounds - maybe more.
Here’s a pro tip - get help.
But if you can’t get help do it alone rather than enlisting your wife to help guide the thing - unless maybe we’re talking Bev.
I took my time, removed all the doors on my furnace room and basement bed room ( it fit through the door frames by a half an inch. And without getting tools I didn’t have, or just hacksawing the damn thing, I couldn’t remove the fridge door) shoved all the furniture and book cases out of the way. I managed to get the think on a dolly, and wedged the thing around to slip through the inside door frames and to the sliding door going outside - and the thing was closed! My wife said she’d seen a fox in the afternoon and didn’t want to leave it open in case some critter ran in. Anyway, that aside, mission accomplished and my back will be fine by Wednesday.
