Getting ready to take a bacon cheeseburger casserole out of the oven. Bet I eat too much.
Howzit going D-League!!
It's a cloudy, foggy, wet, 54 degrees here in Hamilton Co, TN, headed for 76 and mostly cloudy later on. The rains overnight have left things wet, but at least the pollen is washed away for a day or two.
-Like Sawnee Cat said, I also won't be watching the final 4; I'm even having trouble remembering who is playing. For sports, I've moved on to baseball and the Braves.
-This weekend, I'm going to clean and brighten up my lanai with some nice plants. Can I call it a lanai here in TN?
-Speaking of plants, I'm also going to refresh the dirt for my tomato, bell pepper, and herbs (cilantro, lemon balm, peppermint, and basil).
You all have a nice day, keep the stress levels low, and enjoy it.
A lanai in TN is called a screened in porch. Floridians are uppity.
Missed double dribble with 5 seconds to play. Auburn now knows how UK feels in these tight games. I mean the ref was right there. How could he miss that call.Wow, what a finish in the UVA-Auburn game. I actually pulled for the Tigers. They may have got robbed.
It is now clear that even God supports the ACC. What an ending.

Reminds me a little of old Tubby teams on steroids. I think TTU may still have a couple leftovers from his days. Wow!Texas Tech has a hell of a team. They give me a reason to watch Monday night.
Happy for the Red Raiders? I work with a couple TTU grads. I know they happy.
Happy for ya bud, I remember you saying you and your wife were pulling for them. I am too now. They are racists though for firing Tubby. Minnesota and Memphis too.
Definitely not Falco but a Buteo, likely an immature Red-tail Buteo jamaicensis but don't bet the house. LinkyHad a falcon as a neighbor for a couple days back in '12. Called him Signore Falco.
Bunch of great video of he and I communicating, him flying.

"Señor Buteo" is indeed a fine neighbor as ground foraging woodland generalist that knows exactly what a squirrel is good for has found parks and suburbs suitable places to live. He would like to thank you and happily accept an occassional fowl bird to subsidize his predatory nature.

Good morning D-League
It is a pleasant Saturday morning and the coffee taste mighty good this time of day. Temperatures will be in the 80's by mid afternoon. I am headed down to Indian Rocks Beach for a few days. Staying in a nice little cottage on the Gulf of Mexico. Old school. Celebrating my 52 year wedding anniversary.
On this day in 1967 my Commanding Officer gave me a 3 day pass to marry my fiancee of two years. I was stationed at Fort Knox, KY and we were married in Ashville, North Carolina. When I picked up my pass the Captain said you better come back here a married man, and stay out of Louisville. I really didn't have any money back then making less than $100 a month as a soldier boy so my girl gave me a $20.00 bill and said "let's do this". I had saved my money and bought a ring so that cost was covered. North Carolina required a pre-marital physical exam by a doctor and a blood test. That cost me $6.00. (still have the receipt). Our marriage license was $5.00. I gave the preacher man $5.00 at the First Baptist Church in downtown Ashville to marry us and we had a few dollars left over to buy some gas and get back to the U.S. Army.
That is how you did it 52 years ago. They said we wouldn't last 6 months. They were wrong. Oh, the reason we picked April 7 as our wedding day. Because in 1967 the NCAA tournament was over and I did not want our future anniversaries to conflict with the NCAA basketball tournament. It was finished by the end of March in those days.
I once was attacked by a Canadian Goose in Chicago. They really hurt when they bite.Well, back from the fishing morning and the score is Warrior-Cat 3 - Big Mouth Bass 2. Nothing worth keeping though. Got Buzzed by goose who did not like me being at the pond.
Well yes, I should have said gander because it was the male protecting its mate. Swooped down and barely missed me. My mother had a pair when I got back from Germany after my first tour and she had them in the yard fenced in. Could not get in unless she put them away.I had a guard gander for a while. Real good at it too,![]()
. . . until "Suede" (Sister's yellow lab) retrieved it for me.
