It is another beautiful day that the Lord has given us, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Good morning!

I had quite the cheat day yesterday. It was so good that it started the night before and it looks like it will spill over into today.

My wife and I noticed early on that KJ was in beast mode on the rebounds. He's been her favorite player all year so nothing he does gets by her. Both of us were surprised when the guy said he had 17. He was yelling after some of those and you could tell he accepted the role of Travis by taking no prisoners.

Basketball season should last at least 9 months with them playing exhibition games for the other 3 to get ready for the long season.

If I don't post here again, it was a fun ride. Who knows what's going to happen at the gun show today? You never know when one of those guns decides to go postal and just start shooting people on its own! I'm joking. Lot's of people there will have cell phones and if a gun goes nuts then we will simply call the police. Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes or so for them to get there and restore peace.

See ya later! I think...

Gun shows are one of my favorite activities. I am thankful I have a wife with like mind who also appreciates fine weapons. The family that goes to gun shows together stays together. We are fortunate Ymmot to live in an area where guns are appreciated and available. All Americans do not have that freedom. bless their heart

There are many held in this state and in the office I work in, the women (2 of them) hunt more than the men.

My circle of friends being diverse in color and ethnicity also own many guns. Some of them more than me which now stands at 11. Now granted most of them served this country and want to keep it the way it is. I sometimes wish those Antifa punks would show up here, they would be confused at the number of minorities that would be out there opposing them.

One of these days the Antifa crowd is going to over play their hand and face the music. It will not be pretty.

Didn't make it to the gun show. We parked close to get into the car show first because I didn't want to carry a shotgun around while I looked at cars. Also didn't want someone to see me put a gun in the trunk and then go back inside.

There were no signs about the gun show and the people we talked to didn't know anything about it. There was a flea market going on in the same area and that's all anyone knew about.

Oh well. No big deal and now I have a reason to go back next time.

Morning, D-League. Perfect chance to sleep in today but I may be too old to enjoy that simple pleasure in life. Man do I remember partying and drinking on Saturday Night-Sunday Morning til 3am, sleeping until around 11, then hustling to the All You Can Eat breakfast bar before it closed for 7,000 calories of bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, cinnamon rolls, then snoozing until 2pm.

One night like that would probably wreck me for a month now.

Sounds like you would need angioplasty after that.

Does anyone on here give a flying fig about the Academy Awards tonight? I'd rather watch the old color bars all night. My annual rant.

No. If I need to find out I live in a horrible, racist country where everyone but white males are constantly abused and women are perpetual victims i can just watch a YouTube of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Don't need a collection of Hollywood swells to tell me.

Wait until 2020. You ain't seen nothing yet. Sorry for the BTO quote.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 46°F. Projected high is 65°F. Clouds and a front move in later this afternoon.

Mom passed away early yesterday morning. She had been on a feeding tube since her fall nearly 2 years ago. Dementia has not helped. Her passing was expected. They say everything happens in threes. It's been a helluva past 5 days. I'll probably fly out to FL this coming Friday. Looking at Saturday for the funeral in Orlando.

I'm prepping now for colonoscopy and endoscopy scheduled for Wednesday. Taking off tomorrow and Wednesday. Working Thursday. Flying Friday.

We'll check back later. Y'all behave.

Austin, I'm sorry for your personal loss and pray for the blessing of peace through these struggles. What a week.

I haven't watched them since Bob Hope was alive and host. Like others I had no idea they were on. It seems as if there is some kind of celebrity award every other week or so. They must love to pat each other on the back.

So sorry, Austin. Peace

Good morning from my house to yours. Currently 63° and a projected high of 76°F. Very cool and breezy. Pool temperature is 86 and the screen will keep the cool breeze down.

Austin, so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I was by my father's side when he died but I lived out of state when my mother died. Receiving an unexpected phone call at 3:00 AM was crushing but she lived a strong Christian life and died at age 95. She lived by herself until the day but had family who checked on her daily and spent many hours helping her during the day. She died peaceful in her sleep. I just came back from visiting my wife's mother who also fell and broke her hip.. They are discussing putting her on a feeding tube and she too suffers from mild dementia. But she did know us when we visited and was aware although on heavy medication. She too is 95 and my wife is going back up for an extended stay soon. So we have walked down that road and know your grief. I know you have wonderful memories and your days and years ahead will be filled with those thoughts. Our prayers are with you and your family and we pray God brings you comfort and peace. He understands and as he welcomes her to heaven will say, "Well Done"

Also we pray your medical tests will turn out all negative. This is my week for routine exams also so I request a little prayer as well.

My deepest condolences Austin. I have no doubt that you loved her very much and that she was a wonderful woman.

Austin, I am sorry for your loss. I came here thinking I'd complain about the petty headaches of a typical Monday, but then you realize some people are really dealing with pain. As I found out when my wife's father died a couple weeks ago, there is precious little anyone can say, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Can't believe I missed it. February 3rd was the 60th anniversary of the day the music died.

BUDDY+HOLLY4.JPG

I watched the Buddy Holly Story on AMC that day. When we went out west in the summer of 17, we stopped in Lubbock and visited the Buddy Holly museum. Had all kinds of neat memorabilia and it was built next to the house where he wrote a lot of the music. They even had the glasses he wore that survived the plane crash.
