Happy Saturday D. First day of fall, which is my favorite season. Got in the mood watching cheesy horror movies on Netflix. That's a thing for my wife. Nothing worth recommending but good to set the mood for Halloween season.

My story gets better. That wonderful blue sky got ugly yesterday afternoon and it dumped an inch of rain on my roundup sprayed weeds. So I guess I wasted the roundup.

If the football team continues to get good press, I think that will lead to us getting some of these 5 star guys that don't want to go to an Alabama or Georgia and ride the bench for two years before they get a chance to play significant minutes. We are an SEC school and we do play SEC games on national TV. Recruiting has definitely improved over the last six years and I think it will continue to do so.
Can't we go ahead and have madness already? Heard on the radio Thursday that all of our games but a couple early are on either ESPN or CBS. Bad news is, because we're the most awesome college basketball team in the universe the vast majority (all) of our games are the late game. The price of fame.

Tyler Ulis has signed with the Golden State Warriors. He'll be playing with Cousins. Guess I'll have to tune into a few of those games. Fun to turn on an NBA game and see some of our guys. Hard to miss them actually.

I've got tunes rocking the house and if it was anything besides classic rock my wife would have complained a long long time ago. She listens to top 40 on WDJX so I would think she would be more tolerant of different musical styles. First thing I do when I get in her car is turn the radio down. I guess the stuff they play on there is classified as "music", but just barely. Sound hypocritical? In this case, I don't care.

I remember back in the early 80's they tried to play this on regular TV in 3D. We picked up our glasses from the local convenient store and it turned out to be a disappointment. One scene looked really cool but that was about it.This one scared me as a little kid...

The Creature From The Black Lagoon was released in 1954.
A lot of movies that were released around that time had scenes made for 3-D.
This was the first one that they tried to broadcast on TV. It didn't go over too well.
