D-League

Really like what we’re seeing
Taking into consideration how many new guys and the time of year it is, this team looks pretty good.
Yes I know there have been lapses and some sloppiness but overall....
Really like that I’m not seeing any petulance from these guys. Missed shot, fouls whatever..they just get back to work

Partly cloudy, sultry, & monsoon activity. Post game Ha-boob with 60 mph winds and rain last night. What a mess. Hopefully not so much energy today.

Coffee time on the front porch
Still waiting to hear officially about this job.

I really liked what I saw in last nights game. But I was also looking for other things than just scoring, rebounding and defense. As sloppy as we were I didn’t see guys taking plays off, didn’t see petulance, or arguing. I saw effort and communication, I saw them working hard and willing to learn. No laziness. I didn’t get the feeling of anyone just wanting to get through the season so they can get drafted; they all want to be there. Granted, it’s just one game and it’s all for fun, but that’s my first impression.

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites.
  • 82º in Johns Creek. A few clouds but pretty day.
  • 2nd mug of DM going.
  • Breakfast had. Delicious.
  • Didn't get to see the game. Hope to see the game tonight.
  • I hope you guys enjoyed the game. You are pretty quiet about it.
  • Many thanks to 41102 for the. UK information. Enjoy it.
  • Be careful driving. Don't let the Idmos kill you. Two close encounters last night coming home in the rain.
  • As you were. Carry on.

Greetings from the Cayman Islands. Night and day difference between here and Jamaica. The ladies here are FINE...even the chunky ones! Took my group to Hell here, the kids loved it. Watched the iguanas and chickens run around. Took public transportation instead of tour bus for a third of the price and our driver served as our tour guide too!

Will check in later

Last night was fun. I suspect everything we think we learned will prove to be half-true at best. But the few things that are likely to stay true are promising: athleticism, attitude and intensity.

For those who believe in omens, this'll be the fourth time since 1995 Kentucky has had a preseason foreign tour and the other three teams at least made the Final Four (1996, 2011, 2015.) I don't think the 1995 games were televised. I only recall reading about them.

From what I remember of the others, I'd say this team is ahead of the 10-11 Final Four team, and behind the 14-15 Final Four team -- but virtually every college basketball team ever assembled was behind that 2015 team before Poythress was hurt.

At work so I'll be quick. The team has uber talent and obviously feeling each other out and learning one anothers game. Early the game was dominated by our 1s,2s,3s & 5s. In the second half, the PF rotation beat them down and began to dominate the paint. Not many teams can rotate all-americans at the 4. :cool2:. In fact most teams don't have one. Our strong inside game will open the perimeter. :boom::boom::boom: And yes, I'm fired up. Go BIg Blue & Black 2.

Hey! I'm watching the game on DVR at the moment and getting in the mood for tonight's game. I'm happy with what I saw last night, especially considering how long they've practiced together and the fact this was their first game against someone not them.

This is going to be a fun year!
