Went to the DR today(chronic pain DR ) Wasn't to bad but the only person to see me who knew me was his PA.
. WE talked about my worst pain, I told her the same as always lower lumbar spine and my left residual stump. It; will be 30 days or more before I'll get in to see the Dr. He is a good man a graduate from UK and UK grad school, Then interned at UK Medical.

I took another hard fall at the lake moving around and almost fell down in the water, think I cracked another rib. Hurt so bad to get hurt in front my daughter and grandson.

Don't try to do stuff that you cannot do.

I need to too.

IIRC you are about 3 months older than me. It will be interesting to see which one of us goes silent first. I consider the people on here my friends although I've never met any of you. So if I am not posting it will be because I've croaked or have been totally incapacitated.

None of us have anything to complain about compared tp RRCat.

Railroad mentioning his PA made me think of an experience I had 4 or 5 years ago. I was a case manager for an outfit in Benton, Ky. I had about 25 or so clients that were mentally and/or physically handicapped. One of my clients complained daily for about 2 weeks and said his side was hurting. I took him to the doctor and he said his gall bladder needed to come out and scheduled surgery.

The lady that was a "house mom" that live with 4 clients told me that she thought his bladder had been removed several years earlier. I called and talked to his PA and told her. She passed the info to the doctor. She called me back later in the day and told me the doctor looked at his xray and pointed out the gall bladder on the xray proving it was still there. I told the house mom.

His surgery was scheduled the next day at 11 am. I got to work that morning at 8 and started thinking about my client. On our visit the previous day the doctor wasn't very nice to my guy and it sort of pissed me off. Anyway, the morning of his surgery, I called the house mom who was getting him ready for surgery and asked her what hospital did she think he was at if he had his bladder out. She said she thought Western Baptist at Paducah.

I immediately called records at WBH and a nice lady had to go in the basement and check some stored paper records because of the suspected date was old. She called me back very soon and said she would fax me some info that she thought I would be very interested in. I got the fax and sure enough his gall bladder had been removed almost 10 years ago.

I very quickly called the doctor and asked for the PA. They said she was with a patient. I told them who I was and told them to have her call me stat and I was faxing them some papers. She call me in like 10 minutes with an apology. I told her I was sorry and she said don't be, you're a hero in this office. I never let any of my clients go to that doctor again. FCC.

Don I understand but wearing a prosthesis on mowed path around the lake is tough because it looks even

your only foot can't feel danger then it happens, boom! Was worth the pain to see the smile on my

grandson's face when he caught 5 huge bluegills and 3 1# Bass.

As far as my health I'm doing as well as I can. Maybe the bone marrow specimen early next month, who knows???

Hey starchief, you're right about rrcat. I've visited with him several times recently and played baseball with him when we were kids but hadn't seen him for 50 years until recently but I tell you that you won't ever meet a nicer guy. He's a very dear friend of mine and will always be. I can't say enough good about him.

I'll be 66 next month and if I croak I've told my kids to get on here and tell everyone. The only other person I've met is Don. He's a keeper also. One heck of a nice guy. I cherish everyone's friendship on here. I feel like I know each one of you, well, especially the regulars. Good people. FCC.

Wow.

I had a couple of stents put in a couple of years ago. I went in for a follow up visit later. The doctor came in and said she was going to set me up for surgery. "Surgery for what?" "To put in a stent. "I just had stents put in." Let me go check" Comes back in and says, "you're right. Sorry about that."

That is scary.

Haha that’s a good problem no?

no

Renewing DL's is overrated.

The Arthritis in my knees has ceased for an unknown reason. It comes and goes. I can climb the stairs now without it killing me. Happy days.

My RA kicked back in about two weeks ago. I was in remission for quite awhile and loving it. Dad asked me today if my knees were swollen. I was surprised that he could see it. He said "look at them, I can't see much but I can see that". Ha, I told him that I have gotten used to it and it would be OK. He's got one leg and is confined to a wheel chair. I'll be damned if I'll cancel our day because I have some discomfort in my knees.

"pain don't hurt",,,"i ain't got time to bleed"...

Hey I'm sorry If I offended anyone here, I didn't mean to. Everyone have a good evening. I'll Talk more when basketball and football kick off. Take care.
I don't even know what this means??? I even went back and reread. I don't know about anyone else, but I would find it more offensive if you slowed down your posting.

We care about you and we want to hear your thoughts and recollections. Keep on posting brother!

Knock it off boys. Bev graciously tries to step in but Don plows on in, leading with a wild left hook. ymmot takes it in the palm of his left hand and instantly counters with a crushing left hook of his own, sending Don tumbling to the ground. ymmot attempts the coup de grace, but not having his glasses on, misses by about two feet. Bert finally steps in and everyone goes to the diner to get a cup of coffee. The end. (ATX cruises by later to see if any money fell out of their pockets during the scuffle)
