D-League

My youngest child's last day of high school. I still remember taking the oldest one to kindergarten for her first day. Thirty years of dealing with teachers, homework, coaches, trauma over grades and which school to attend and spats with friends and getting my son out of bed a thousand times. But also successes and sports teams and school plays and academic awards and proms and best friends.

Bittersweet day.

Good Morning D - TGIF

Happy Friday morning. Mine's off to a typical DC start. Someone managed to fall between the cars of the Subway train. No word yet on whether there were injuries, but the whole train was halted and we were forced to detour.

About a dozen years ago I was on the train - on Halloween Day -- when a suicide jumper hurled herself in front of the lead car. Some on our car claimed to have heard her scream then leap. All I saw was the aftermath. Trust me, it's not the way to go.

Morning to all of my knowledgeable friends. Y'all too railroad and catfan. Happy late birthday to ymmot. FCC.
Thanks FCC!

I was here earlier but I got off on a youtube tangent thanks to the John Prine video.

Housework today, and yard work.

Got the Jones show on but I don't listen as much in the off season.

77.7°F here at this late start of a day. I have to go see my CPA as the IRS wants $8,000 more from me. Not going to be a good day. Don't ever piss off the IRS as they can bleed you dry one letter at a time.

Enjoyed the day yesterday. I mowed my yard late yesterday for the third time in a week.

You all enjoy your Friday.

Run, don’t walk, to the bike rack. Then peddle furiously to the nearest craft beer location and start the weekend post haste.
Y'all know me too well.

Joke time.

Three young lads named Sam, Mike and Ben are walking home from school.

Sam says, "My dad drove a car at 210 MPH the other day. Really quick".

Mike says, "My dad's and airline pilot. He's flown 700 MPH before".

Ben says, "Heck, that ain't nothing. My dad is a government employee. He's off at 5 PM and already home by 4".

Another picture of the good guys.

Rooster is my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

catfaninsc I am down on the floor happy.

I know. Every time you see that livery I envision you doing your happy dance, waltzing to the counter for another bourbon, then back to your happy dance, then hollering Cha Ching.
