Stoops has always wanted position coaches that have the potential to be his DC. It’s good to see a young coach given responsibility. Collins has seemed the solid recruiter. It is good to know that Stoops and White have faith in him as a planner and leader, as well.

Collins has put CBs in the league of late, Phillips will get drafted this year, Hairston next year with several young CBs in the pipeline. Add to that is Collins is UK's primary GA/N. FL recruiter. Glad to see he's being rewarded.

Collins and Shorts are rising stars on each side of the ball. I really think this may turn out to be the best staff Stoops has had here.
