I hate Boise State. They started this crap. I really think it's going to get to the point where they are going to have to do what the NBA did in the 90's and make people change this crap. If you remember they made the Raptors and Rockets change their floors. I forget what was so bad about the Raptors but the Rockets had purple paint inside the 3 point line with stars shining. It was impossible to watch. There is nothing that would get me to watch a game on a teal field.

'They' did not make the Rockets change their floor. They drafted Yao and decided a Chinese type rocket theme would make the team more marketable in China. That was a good idea but for the most part the old theme was very popular in Houston. Boise, Eastern Wash, Central Ark, you can't really blame them for trying to get a little attention. This will likely play itself out soon as the more places its done, the less interesting it becomes. Bunches of high schools have done it, all different colors and patterns are out there now.

Maybe I'm a grandpa even though I'm not in reality but I will say this in my defense. I'm mid 40's but I've hated the entire style over substance crowd every decade of my life.

And the rockets weren't forced to do anything to the poster above. Yao Ming was drafted so they went with the Chinese theme for marketability here and in China. It's about time they changed it too and went back to the yellow and red basic American rockets.
