Coaching Matters- Florida going down

Hurley might be the best coach. His players give supreme effort and he is relentless with refs. This is all coaching. He does not accept excuses. Love him or hate him. It’s how you win.

I’ll admit I thought Florida was unbeatable but I forgot what happens when you get punched in the mouth. UConn rounding into form of their coach.

SEC so overrated

OP, Florida punched back!
and TOOK it away from Connecticut by throwing several DAGGERs into UConn's heart!

Connecticut and their coach has a Heart of a Champion.
That was not a typical, easy 8 vs 1 NCAA matchup.

The Florida Gators just TOOK DOWN the 2x NCAA Champion,
the Connecticut Huskies!

It takes another 2x NCAA Championship program like Florida to do that,
thus denying a 3-peat!

You are a Cane fan aren't your?
Why are you not rooting for the ACC and Duke?
SEC is overrated? Naw!
The SEC is on pace to send a record number of teams to the Sweet16 & beyond.

Miami has never come close to what Florida had achieved!
Sure Miami & Florida Atlantic recently made a Final4; however,
Florida made 5 Final4's!

Did you see how Clayton & Florida's frontcourt took control of the game?
Walter Clayton made some BIG-Money shots under tremendous pressure and a lot to lose.

That's what Florida Gators do when they are in the HUNT for a National Chapionship.
Sit back & watch it unfold.

I am not so sure that it was a bad foul.

Let the haters hate. Lol
Not hating. Had Florida let him drive to the basket or maneuver for a three, it might have been a miss and the game is over. As it was, the lead was cut to three with more than 6 seconds on the clock. Florida made the two foul shots, but they had missed 2 on more than one occasion. Had they missed 2 there, the game would have gone into overtime because UCON hit a three at the buzzer.

You really should be embarrassed. If you aren’t a teenager I feel sorry for you.

I don’t think Florida has what it takes to win it all. Clayton saved them today. Going to need more than him to win it all.

Pointing at his 2 rings shows that this is all about him. Almost every coach that loses in the tournament shows remorse and pride for his players, Hurley didn’t do that and it’s telling.
Don’t get it twisted. Not defending the guy, except when it is intimated that he’s somehow crazy or weak for crying in a presser. The other arrogant shit is uncool, but many are just looking for reasons. What I’m saying is, this behavior was probably more prominent before we captured every second of our lives with social media then all stood back and judged. Judged negatively for the precise behavior those judging exhibited, I’d add.

I’m not disagreeing with you. But Hurley’s behavior after the game, in the 2 videos I saw of him leaving the court, is indicative of a bad person especially someone charged with developing young athletes.

Inappropriate to be sure. I’d expect a fine or some such. The irony? Refs didn’t decide the outcome in either game. Florida win fair and Duke rolled.

This held up well................. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Todd Golden is the real deal. It will be interesting to see if Florida will be able to fight off the suitors after this season. I love that style of play
He was out coached today, but no shame considering youth/inexperience.
I don’t think Florida will face much competition for Golden. Despite the title 9 investigation being over, those rumors swirled on the basketball world for many months before it became public. I think that will keep some of the better jobs a bit cautious.
And that aside, Golden has established a very strong NIL at Florida.

7 teams in the s16, and all time record, basically half the field. Sounds overrated. Let me guess you're hung up on teams like texas and vandy losing to other conferences best teams.

Oh, and hurley crying and complaining like a baby taking zero Accountability. Good riddance

For clarity, are you putting real emotional problems on him for being emotional after a really tough loss in a tournament that his teams won 13 straight games in and were in a position to win 14 to advance to the sweet 16 three times in a row?
The stupid b*stard went bat sh*t crazy in the tunnel after the game screaming, yelling, and cussing the refs to anyone that would listen. He’s definitely a full fledged mentally ill POS.

Losing your shit in an emotional situation is not akin to mental illness. Full stop. I wish people would stop attributing mental illness to people they don’t like or people’s actions they don’t like. Mental health is a much more serious subject and it cheapens it to use it as ad hominem attack.

One insufferable going to the sweet sixteen is enough; I don't think I could handle two. Lol
Yeah I’ve never seen a guy crater an image so fast like Hurley. Guy has turned himself from the new big name coach in the game to an insufferable clown in record time!

Guy has a 16 year old mentality and is obsessed with trying to the coolest guy in the room. Plays to the camera 100% of the time. Dudes bound to crash and burn
