Why would we be ranked? We are 3-2 and had an absolute horrible loss to USC. If we get to 5 and 2 or 6 and 2 we should be and probably will be ranked.

And none of those teams have an offense that can score on our D so unless the offense royally effs it up, UK should be 6 and 2 heading into Knoxville.

South Carolina is 3 - 2, and are not ranked. Why do we think we should be ranked when a team that took our manhood is not ranked and has the exact same record.
We're where we should be. We're 3-2. We beat Ole Miss, who hasn't beaten a top 50 team. If they win a bunch of their SEC games, AND we win more, we'll move up in the rankings.

Some of that is true. Don't know about the rest yet. We exposed them a bit, but no telling what they'll do the rest of the year. We matched up well with them and others may not.

Would love to beat UTk this year, but I'd rather beat THE UT if I had a choice between the 2. If we don't get healed up and stay that way, it might be tough to pull more upsets.

Yes, I remember. We were one of them. I didn’t say there wouldn’t be any 2 loss teams in the top 25 at the end of the season. I said there aren’t any right now, 5 games into the season.
Every team in top 25 has one loss, we have 2, what is there to complain about as far as rankings. The way our offense has played so far, we need to worry about Vandy instead of the next 3 games. This year is definitely a one game at a time season.
Ole Miss plays South Carolina this week
so if Ole Miss bounces back that will end the hoopla for South Carolina. A lot of teams ranking is based on reputation not actual games played.
Yes. SC’s only loss is to LSU (after its starting QB left the game) in a close game. LSU is currently ranked 13. There is no reason why many of the one-loss teams would be ranked and SC not.
South Carolina only getting 1 vote is way more egregious than us getting 17. South Carolina is 3-1, blew us out and led #13 LSU almost the entire game and lost at the end (their fans were ready to storm the field, lol). I guess the close game against Old Dominion is really hurting them but you'd think blowing us out the next week would cancel that one out.
The big thing that needs to happen is UK play from the lead instead of behind. Stoops gut made the correct call Saturday. Do not expect Stoops gut to pull out wins each week. If UK can play like they did in 2018 more on offense and have us in the lead most times then we can pull of some wins. We are down in the 4th quarter by 4 or more points and it becomes a 50/50 game at that point. Stoops is made for a 20 to 17 point lead in the 4th quarter. Not down 17-13. Again it worked out this time. Do not expect that each week.

Our fans accept going to a bowl as something special. It's about the playoffs now and nothing more. Rankings and wins should get you 9 million a year, not bowl games.
The only thing I can hope for now, but it is an outside chance is making UL fans feel as bad as I do.
Vandy, Florida or Auburn have made the punch bowl full of turds this year once you include SC. Like you said we usually lose 2 games we should win every year. The offensive line is the problem, give the QB time and we are better, this is one of the worst lines at UK in many years. I say that we spend NIL money on linemen!
