If 550 million people attended AEW events in 2024, then 2 billion attended WWE events. I'm not sure how that math works when there were several weeks in which AEW might've had a total of 7,500 fans between shows.
I think the Meltzer Awards are in a few weeks so I'm prepared for Ospreaymania with him retiring with 158 Observer Awards and 91 five star matches but I'm in the camp who believes if he has so many "5 star and beyond" classics, his matches will just blend together and very few are going to stand out, esp. if they aren't built around good, long term storylines. Meltzer giving him several five stars per year and fans claiming he's the best ever and it's not close actually hurts the aura of Ospreay in my view. Same has already happened with MJF. He was really talked up for two years and now? Not really much of a peep.
