Never in a million years would I have got it.
It was 2017-2021 where I had to think real hard.
I missed that same one. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard that name in my life. I remember a wrestler in the 90s with a similar name though.
I couldn’t come close. Until about five years ago, I’d only watch WWE sporadically in the NFL off season. There’s several guys during that time I’m pretty sure I’ve never or barely heard of, lol.
I have not seen it discussed yet, but if so I apologize in advance. Has anyone watched "Heels" on Netflix ? It originally came out on Starz in 2021. Two seasons. I knocked it out in a few days and thought it was very good. It is about 2 brothers running a Indi promotion in rural Georgia after their father committed suicide. They compete with a bigger promotion out of Florida that is a ECW type promotion with the crazy, gimmick matches. They are more traditional building stories and continuing it. I hope with it now on Netflix they make a season 3 and beyond. Couple of cameos, CM Punk (actually turned into a regular on the show), AJ Lee, Doc Gallows, and Mick Foley. They indirectly mention WWE and other real promotions, but not really directly.
Not shocked we're getting Ospreay and Ricochet immediately with no story. That's become Tony's thing. They'll have more matches but that guy and that fanbase just doesn't seem to wanna wait for anything. It's gotta be now now now like a teen boy on a first date. Makes me think Ricochet was only brought in for this "feud" and afterward he's going to be on Collision against randoms. Triple H sometimes moves too slow and TK moves way too fast. And where's Britt Baker? Is Wardlow injured again? How much personal time does Miro need before coming back to work?
Whomever tells you Jack Perry is “OVER” or “Killing it” or better yet… “ON FIRE” sure has some explaining to do..

Has anyone in this thread ever said Jack Perry is “on fire?”
I don't dislike Perry but when you've spent years being called 'Jungle Boy', it looks like you weigh 130 lbs, and my beagle is the same height as you, you can't be the type of heel Perry wants to be. With those qualifications, you can be a heel like Dom or a preppy, rich kid heel who pays off bigger guys to be your protectors but being a badass is out of the question. I'm a white guy who can't dunk so my ass ain't trying to be Shaq circa 1996.
Well there was that one time Perry was literally on fire, but other than that not really.

I've queued this video up to the opening bell of the Omega vs. Danielson match at the first Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium . Fans in attendance were on fire for this match, it's hard to believe how much AEW has cooled off since.
Another video, this one is the last promo Cody Rhodes delivered in AEW. To think that after this promo, where the fans were chanting "STFU," jeering and mocking him, he jumped to WWE and became this over-the-top babyface that helped spur a renaissance in the WWE...it's hard to fathom.
I still maintain Cody getting his wife on TV constantly in awful storylines is what helped turn the AEW fans against him. Will be curious if they start to boo him and cheer Roman.

I thought miro asked for his release before and was denied
Probably won’t happen but moving bayley or Naomi to raw isn’t the worst idea - the women’s division on raw outside of Rhea/liv feels stale and adding one of them would be good especially if charlotte eventually comes back to smack down
I stopped being a Cody fan in AEW especially with that famous cringe promo.
Maybe it’s because I had already heard Cody’s “I want the world title cause of my dad” stuff in ROH and NWA and seeing it again in WWE wasn’t appealing. I’ve completely checked out on WWE with him as the champ.

People are already bored. That’s how the fans go. They like the push to get what they want and then once they get it, they’re bored with it.
Ya the Zilla rumor has been out there for a while - guessing after bad blood Cody does sidestep and let the bloodline civil war happen.
He never asked for his release before. In fact he signed a new deal like two years ago.
Cody did a lot of dumb shit in AEW to put himself in the go away heat position that he had and it’s one of the major reasons why he got his booking duties stripped away.
Literally anything Brandi Rhodes did was a disaster other than look hot as his valet, Nightmare Factory, booking himself out of not being able to win the title, got that god awful neck tattoo that would fit in perfectly at a MAGA rally, then he refused to turn heel.
He likes to say he turned heel at the tail end of his AEW run and claims it was too meta. This isn’t art house cinema, it’s ****ing wrestling where most of the audience is a bunch of idiots, know your damn audience. So no bitch you did not turn heel if no one knows it and just wants you to go the **** away.
Guy is really green. Should spend a good long time in NXT, but he’ll get the nepotism treatment and go either straight to the main roster or fast tracked there completely unprepared for the spot he’ll be in. Basically what happened with Solo Sikoa.
That’s going to be a lot of really shitty floor seats if they don’t put some risers in there.

Pretty sure Cody was allowed to do whatever he wanted in AEW, including having his wife by his side, creating dumb stips that would only hurt himself creatively, and somehow defeating racism by winning a match. WCW taught us you don't allow current wrestlers to create their own storylines. WWE has a system and its a successful one. Since Cody's return, (unless I'm mistaken) we've seen Brandi once and she's been sorta referenced a time or two and Cody isn't backstage creating his own stories to tell. It all goes through guys like Triple H and Michael Hayes and they know far better than Tony and Cody.
The continued KO heel teases have been great and if it hadn't already been 9:58 last night, I would've thought it was going to happen to end the show. Cody is stuck in the Bloodline vortex but he should be out of it in Oct., esp. if his friends begin turning against him. And it'll be a long time before Cody gets booed consistently. Even Saudi Arabia adores the guy and he walked out there like an Americana icon with red, white, and blue colors flooding that stadium.
