$600 seems light compared to what I thought it would be for ringsidethere are face value tickets for Smackdown at the Yum Center for $600. Not resale. Face. Of all the things in the world I could spend $600, a ringside seat at a random smackdown.
If I could, for example, go back and witness something historic like Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat in person I'd probably pay $600.
They've had some consistently really shitty luck with injuries ever since the run up to the original Forbidden Door PPV. Just been a steady stream of injury bad luck ever since, and almost all of them haven't even been from doing reckless stuff.AEW really did run through some awful luck back in the summer. That angle had the opportunity to really gain crossover popularity if people could have stayed healthy.
Following up on this with the tweet below. I get the frustration but locker rooms will always have loose lips. It's pretty dumb for Lynn to not only comment on the report publicly but in so many words confirm it's a work. Can you imagine SRS reporting the Rollins back injury during the Nakamura feud as a work only to have someone from WWE tweet out something about a ruined cliffhanger? It's not the biggest deal in the world but it's like AEW can't even handle an injury angle correctly. All is good with Hangman, per Fightful
I miss Jay White being relevant. One of my favorite wrestlers.Again with a bloated roster you can’t make them all happy - mone and Okada will push most down a peg - funny you mentioned Jay white he was a top dog in njpw and now he’s doing 6 man tags.
All you did was sort the roster by age and paste it here - extraordinary.
You are such an aew mark it’s kind of embarrassing really.
Goldberg sucks lol how do you manage to drop 2 people on their heads back to back like that?Wow I've missed a lot over the last couple of days.
Kingston faced Akiyama at Full Gear 2022, maybe AEW should show some video of that leading into Saturday.
Speaking of video, here's a Goldberg video I've never seen, guessing he wasn't too far into his career at this point since it looked like it was on WCW Saturday Night.
They said "please welcome special guest Lightweight UFC fighter Michael Chandler."Do I have to start watching or Googling UFC to understand why UFC stuff is in WWE now?
Was there a video package explaining who these two people are?
Pissed off AEW fans.Won't quote all of it but does WWE signing Punk once he's been fired for two months really fit in with the rest of the Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic section? Enabling Vince, cocaine spots, rape, antisemitic angles, homophobic comments...and signing CM Punk? Those 14 AEW fan really hold a grudge lol.
Having a dude vacate a title because he won the world championship is about as bad as anything you have fantasy booked here Travvy Patty. I'm guessing Mid-South used to do that a lot back in the day? Also Jey Uso falls under the "some good guy gets unbelievably hot" scenario.Dear god. What an absolutely horrible idea. If that’s true, everyone that suggested that should’ve been fired.
The only two ways he should lose the title
1) some good guy gets unbelievable hot
2) they’re ready for him to win the world title and after he wins, he vacated the IC title
I can’t even wrap my head around why the scenario of Uso beating him was brought up
Tony Yayo is cooking with this one. Been wanting more dedication to story lines. Now he just needs to get a tag team partner to help him book half of their stuff so that he can focus on the bigger storylines. AEW was at their best prior to Tony having to book 15 shows a week.AEW just hired the recently departed WWE writer who was tight with Mercedes. Believe this makes the first writer they’ve hired.
$600 for floor seats is really nothingI understand WWE is hot as its ever been but $600??? WOW
In AEW news it's being reported the Forbidden Door show will be at Arthur Ashe Stadium in June.
for smackdown though?$600 for floor seats is really nothing
Wow that match between Madison Rayne and Deonna was not good at all.
Odds of Flair turning on Sting for the 1,235 time?
Still it’s completely distastefulThere’s not really a ballot. Any subscriber can vote for whoever they want
Where did you get the top 10 for these from? All I've seen posted on Twitter was the top 5. I've been wanting to see full results for all the awards.observer awards for you all to get mad about

Some of them are just lazy and don't want to put in the work or too snobby and think they are too good to do any wrestling that's not on TV. There's a reason why the ones improving the most are the ones going out doing indie shows as much as possible while the ones who aren't are the ones being stagnant. The AEW women’s division is a walking botch. They badly need house shows so these girls can work every single night. Repetition breeds improvement.
Sure please do that, put it in a spoiler so you won't long cat the thread though lol. Much appreciated!i copy and pasted them from the observer site
I'll post all of them if you want. a lot of it is MMA and stuff like "best wrestling book" and "Worst major show"
Was going to post something similar. There's a lot of ill-timed commercial breaks and dead time on Raw. For Raw to get any internet love, it's gonna need to go back to two hours, and even then most in the IWC will continue to bash it. It's stuck with that negative stigma. Dynamite probably flows better occasionally and I've heard Collision has been better lately as well, but I'd still put Smackdown #1. I would've put Collison first if Punk were still "running" it. I won't debate the talent issue. If it's AEW = more talent but WWE = more star power, I can buy that. I think with AEW finally getting Ospreay, he's going to run away with all the wrestler categories for the following decade, esp. with the careers of Danielson and Omega winding down. Will be interesting to see if Mone beats out Ripley next year too.I just think it's funny that they picked those three when their voting for the TV shows and PLE/PPVs says AEW > WWE
