BIG series for both teams, Cats need to win this one and keep up the momentum. Sean Hjelle goes to the mound tonight, he was great last Friday night against Mizzou.
UT has a pretty good pitcher or two, they will be fired up no doubt, to beat the Big Blue and keep their SEC tournament hopes alive ..... GO C-A-T-S !!!

I will be heading to Knoxville soon to watch the game, won't be able to post anything, as I only have an old flip cell phone.
Hope to bring the Cats a little luck down in Big Orange country, keep the board hot, and I will check in when back home and share anything I see in person !!

Come visit me. I'm going to be in E, row 5 seats 8, 9, 10. I think it's the last row of reserved seating. I'll be with my wife and 19 month old.

Hjelle did his part also with a three 3 three down first. This was just the kind of start Kentucky would have ordered. A lot of pitches for the UT pitcher in the first.

I'm not sure if the gun on this UT lefty is right, but it says he's just throwing 85-87.

Did they say why UT is not starting one of their regular weekend starters? Sean Hunley started the first game against Georgia.

27 pitches for Heflin that inning but he isn't the regular starter so maybe it doesn't matter.

Having to listen to the UT homers online. Said that pitch by Hjelle to Lipcius was a good pitch. Looked like a mistake pitch to me.

Hunley has pitched some weekends and hasn't some others. Kind of strange.

Another bobble by Pompey. He really isn't a great fielder, not up to the level of the rest of his game.

The shift hurt us that inning as a routine grounder to second led off the inning. We play straight up and it's an out and they likely don't score.

Squires lines out and UT goes to the bullpen to face Cottam with 1 out. Going to Linginfelter. Big righty throwing in the low 90s.

3rd walk for UT pitching. I like it. We just need to cash in on a few more of these free passes.

We run ourselves out of another inning. Heyer thrown out trying to steal second on a 2 strike 2 out pitch.

Only one hit is far is what is hurting. It's a big time hit, but likely won't be enough to get it done.

Bases loaded after a walk. Most the pitches weren't close. Belanger out to talk.

Play at the plate and UK gets the second runner at home! Tie game, but UK limits the damage so far.

Great at bat by Becker to work a leadoff walk. Sure hope we can follow it up with a hit or two.

If our offense is so good, why do we have only 1 hit to UT's 5? That's 4 innings to 3.

Fastball right over the middle gets smacked. Hjelle has been making quite a few mistake pitches.

Quick inning for Hjelle. Really need to get a lead here given the struggles of our bullpen lately

Dawson gets on and then Pompey strikes out. We've not strung much together today.

And then we hit into a double play. Wow do we know how to chill a run.
