Can Cavs Knock Off Golden State On The Road

Cleveland has built a better team this year, but they just cannot allow the possession count to be as high as it was last night. They have no chance if they don't try and change that.

The Cavs are one of the worst teams in the NBA on defense. They aren't going to "flip the switch" and shut down the best offensive team in the NBA. The most this series will go is 5 games.

Golden State won the first two at home last year. No need for Cleveland to panic. Clean up the TOs and tighten up the defense.

Last year has 0 to do with this season. Did GS have Durant last year? That is the more important point to note if you do want to go compare seasons. If the Warriors have Durant last year they win in 4/5 games. I expect them to win in 5 this season.

Not sure I follow this logic. Show me one position that the Warriors are exponentially better at. Steph/Kyrie is a wash... Klay/JR is a wash during the playoffs because Klay doesn't seem to show up. LeBron is better than KD. I would take Love over Draymond with the way Love has been playing this posteason. And Thompson is better than Pachulia. Plus I like the Cavs bench better this year with the additions of Korver and Deron Williams. I will take the side of the best player in the game and his supporting cast over the challengers this year. And yeah I get it, Warriors blew a 3-1 lead and lost a game 7 without the addition of superstar KD. But Lebron owns KD in head to head match ups as well.

Care to reconsider yet?

Cavs are playing much better and still down 14 in the 4th. That's a problem.

We had a lot of goofballs on here saying the Cavs could/would win despite the Durant addition for GS, and there is one in particular I'd like to see eat some crow but I doubt we see him.

Could the 92 Dream Team win a game against the Warriors? I say no. I think the Spurs would have beaten the Cavs (if healthy). Warriors to sweep, but games will be closer in Cleveland. How Curry gets 14 FT's, and Lebron gets five is beyond me, but what do I know?

I love it. Lebron has been doing this super team crap for 7 Years.

LBJ left a team where he couldn't get any help and I can't say I blame him. How the Cavs finished with 60+ wins in LeBron's final 2 season in Cleveland is amazing.

LeBron's last year in Miami, they were 54-28. The year after he left, they were 37-45. Yes, Bosh only played 44 games, but they were still only 20-24 WITH a healthy Bosh averaging 21ppg (above his career average of 19ppg). People act like what KD and LBJ did is the same thing, when in reality it's not even close.

KD left a team that blew a 3-1 lead on an all time great to join the team the he lost to. He took the easy way out to get a ring. I'm not saying that's wrong, but it definitely wont mean as much as it would've had he stayed in OKC and finish what he started. It's not like he didn't have help either.

Are you an OKC fan?

Won't mean as much to who? His critics? Haters? Opposing fan bases? I don't think he gives an ish nor should he.

Definitely not an OKC fan. I'm not a fan of any specific team although there are certain teams/players that I dont care for. When I say it won't mean much, I'm saying when people compare him to the all-time greats due to him having to join a team with the best record in the history of the NBA when he had them down 3-1 and couldn't finish them off. It's taking the easy way out.

So there will be an asterisk by his name when it comes to winning titles if he does so? Of course not. Historically, it will be irrelevant and what was his alternative anyway? He was never winning one in OKC. RW will never lead a team to a title imo. The
GSW deal had already been in talks for a potential landing spot for KD for a few years now.

Would you feel better if he had went to the Cavs?

There's going to be no reasoning with you because you're a GS fan so obviously you don't see anything wrong with him joining your team. It's the same thing people do with LeBron except to a higher degree (or should be) when talking about the championships he won with Miami saying they don't mean as much because he was paired with 2 all-stars, when in reality the two situations are completely different.

I do wish he would've stayed with OKC. Like I said, finish what you started. He should've been in the finals last year, but he and Westbrook choked. Saying he would NEVER win in OKC is an opinion.

I'll say it again...Bottom line, he took the easy way out.

He's going to get his ring though, so good for him.

The warriors need 4 Olympic gold medalists, 3 players averaging 20 ppg, 1 dpoy candidate, 2 mvp winners, 2 all time 3 point shooters, and the best free throw shooter in league history to simply beat a 32 year old lebron james. Lol

It's not that, but you're reasoning places loyalty above everything.

Maybe he didn't like living in OKC and wanted a bigger market, maybe he didn't get along with RW, maybe he had no faith in Donovan, who knows, who cares. It's a business.

Would you not leave your job if you had been there ample time, weren't happy there, saw no future there, and a better opportunity came along?

Yeah LeBron is out there by himself playing in a wheelchair huh? Last time I checked Kyrie won the title for them last year with that dagger 3. Is he still around? Kevin Love?

You make comments like a UL fan would make after losing to UK saying well it took yall 8 future NBA players blah blah blah...

It's not the loyalty factor for me. It's taking the easy way out. We never heard anything about him not liking any certain thing about OKC or Westbrook.

Would I leave my job? Yes. But it's tough to compare the two situations fully.
But for the sake of the comparison, that would be like almost out producing (and should've done so) another office in the district/division, and then deciding to transfer to that office and broker because I didn't beat them. That is something I would not do. Still, not a great comparison though.

I'm not saying what he did is wrong in any way. Like I said before, he's gonna get his ring so good for him. But saying there wasn't a future in OKC is a huge stretch. They made it to the finals once, and should've made it a second time. They had a very good team. Why do you think Russ was so pissed when he left? I bet he wouldn't have been as mad had he gone to any other team in the NBA.

Do you think LeBron's championship in Cleveland hold a little more meaning than the ones in Miami? Of course it does. Just like one in OKC would mean more than the one KD is gonna get in GS.

So? Lebron is the GM of the Cavs. He makes the calls. He wanted JR Smith, he got Tristan a huge contract that he could never live up to, he got Kevin Love, and traveled out to hang with him by the pool in the summer to convince him to sign long term. Smith is useless unless he's hot, Thompson is a one trick pony, Love is a beast but he's relegated to a spot up 3 point shooter in Lebron's system. No one is going to beat GS in a 7 game series as long as they keep the core four together. They're going to win titles until they feel like stopping. That's just how it is. The best veterans will come along for the ride on the minimum and ring chase with them every year. Just get used to it.
