Cal has spent over 30 years berating and screaming at officials, showing them up, and our fans can't figure out why we can't get a fair whistle even on our home floor.
Most officials despise the way Cal screams all the time. I actually think many of them actually despise Cal.

I'm generally curious but how does he do that? Not being a smart ass I definitely would like to know what he says cause we definitely don't get a good whistle.

Didn't effect Coach K that way. For whatever reason. He was all over the refs every game.
I'm thinking more and more that he screams at the officials so much because he doesn't actually know what else to do as a coach. He doesn't really change up the offense, I don't really ever see him directing guys on defense (ie, show your guys how to get down in position to guard!). No wonder he loses track of who's on the bench. It's like he turns around and randomly points fingers at whoever's on the bench.
You could be right. I have a buddy who swears that Cal gets so caught up in yelling at the refs and screaming at his players that he totally loses sight of what is going on during the game, thus seems to never make the right call on substitutions, time outs, out of bounds plays, game situations.
All of his coaching decisions seem to come from his emotions and not from coaching expertice/ knowledge. Or from his ego.
K was sneaky good at berating the refs. He could get by with about anything because of his reputation as a legendary coach.
When K cursed at a ref and told them they missed a call, the officials hurried to hive him a make-up call to save face with the Great and Honorable K.
They just T Cal up and give him 3 bad calls in a row to show Cal they are in charge.

After his comments at the public event the other day, a woman I was talking to said that Cal "needed a good whuppin" and should be embarrassed he said the things he's said to the fans and on that stage. A good man would resign after acting like such a selfish fool.
Maybe Chaney doing that would've made him a better man and coach. We'll never know
Chaney was silly for his behavior....giving Cal crap for riding officials and talking like those 3 guys did a "helluva" job. Coach K beat his brains in but never pulled that on him during his own press conference.

Yep. Seems that he is so completely clueless what to do or how to do it that he tries to take the focus off of him and place it on the officials. Limiting yourself to an effective rotation of essentially 7 players will do that to ya

CCC strikes me as being the Ted "TV" Valentine of coaches.
K was also head of USA basketball. He could probably influence some things that would have an effect on an official. And Im sure that was always in the back of their minds .
There isn't a single part of that that isn't wrong. You Church of Calipari disciples are something else.

What is wrong with some dudes? Real men don't break-up a fight before it even starts. You can learn a lot about both fellas from a few punches.

Your exactly right. And as far as I can tell it doesn't change a thing other than making Cal look like a raving lunatic. And when you are constantly ranting about calls the whole game, he loses credibility and officials will pay no attention to his complaints eventually thinking, oh that's Cal just being Cal. You can get your point across without showing up the officials. Don't make the people that make the calls your enemy.
