Butler out

Pope may have really thought about things and just said screw it. Yes, the SECT is important to fans but let’s get real…if you make it to the SEC championship game and lose by 4 points but lose in round one of the NCAAT, literally no one is going to say it wasn’t disappointing because we made a deep run in the SECT. I’d rather just rest the guys that are battling right now and get healthy as possible

We aren't relying on freshmen as much this season. That helps. I just don't see a Pope coached team losing to a 14 seed with the players he still has. I would love to have butler for the game but we will see.
I trust Pope a lot more than I trust the talent manager we had. The losses to mid majors we had the last few years fall squarely on the shoulders of the coach. Pope is so much better, but even todays 14 seeds are good enough to beat you.

I just hope we don’t see much of Perry. I REALLY don’t want to see Sears go off for 35.
I really dislike him for some reason.

I think you put Oweh on him and let Chandler guard Youngblood. You focus on keeping Sears out of the paint and keep Youngblood from getting three point looks. Force Sears to beat you by himself….he can, but if he’s having to do it all by himself it will slow down everyone else. See if Sears can score 40 points on step back threes with Oweh sagging him. Reason I want to do that is Sears has bad games where his shot selection can border into foolish.

The issue with putting Oweh on Sears, is that most likely puts Oweh into foul trouble early and often. The officisls bite on Sears' obvious tricks to make it look like he was fouled. He falls down like a fainting goat and gets the call every time.
Hope he gets a bad hip pointer tonight if he pulls that crap.

Yeah but that’s exactly why I said to do it differently. I’m not having Oweh harass him. I’m having Oweh play off him and force Sears into putting the entire team on his back and winning the game with step backs. I’m not pressuring him tight to have him win with free throws and drives that open up wide open threes/ layups for his teammates. It would be a controversial decision but it would give you a chance to win if Sears has a less than stellar game. If you face the full onslaught of Alabama offense, I’m not sure you have enough firepower sans Kriisa, Robinson and Butler on this roster.

Gotcha

An hour ago I posted that you'd be back to claim a win. Not a single person in this whole thread believes that you did anything but guess, then try to claim inside knowledge. I am sorry that you are so needy.
