Post Season w/o Butler is Playing With House Money

If there is another season where a UK team has dealt with the loss of more starters and key players.... I'd like to know what it is.
Pope has made more chicken soup out of chicken sh** than I could hope for as a fan.
Sad to think how good this team would be right now with all the missing pieces.

Exactly! With a healthy Butler, Robinson and even Kriisa, I believe this team is a Top 5 team or very close to that.

This team can hang with about anybody. They have been through so much. I think we will be too big and athletic for whoever our 14 seed is and the 6/11 seed won’t have much time to prepare for our style of play, so as long as we don’t face a SEC team that early, we will have an advantage.

If we can get to a Sweet Sixteen, we will give the 2 seed all they can handle. The way things are looking, we probably get St. John’s or Texas Tech as our 2 seed. Both will be tough. I’d bet on St. John’s because of ratings. They would love to see a Pope vs. Pitino matchup in the Sweet Sixteen.

I would be ecstatic with a Sweet Sixteen appearance after the season we had (with all the injuries).

Agreed. But we absolutely must win an NCAAT game. It's been forever.
We won a tournament game two seasons ago. I think you’re referring to second weekend. I’d love to go to a Sweet 16, but if we don’t have Butler I’ll be thankful for whatever we can win tbh

I consider this season a smashing success even if last night was the last win we’ll get. What we’ve accomplished exceeds everyone’s pre-season expectations of this “thrown together in just one summer” roster. ESPECIALLY when you factor in the crazy bad injury luck.

Any win from this point forward is just gravy on top of that success.

My thinking is the same. Want to win with every fiber in my being but it may be too much disaster to overcome. Every win from now on is gravy other than round one of NCAAT. Gotta win that one
