In the postgame interview Butler said he thought he was at 85 to 90%. He also said the brace is heavy and somewhat restrictive when he shoots a layup with his left hand. Sounds like this is probably how Butler is going to have to play the rest of the season.

Figured as much. He went to the left hand on the lay up quite a bit. Maybe he shouldn’t do that. He missed them all. Mid range maybe? Pass out to spot up shooter? I didn’t see him do that at all today?

He’s not finishing again, which is a major bummer. But the dude simply can’t have 6 TOs. He has looked rusty (and probably limited due to injury) since returning the second time. My guess is his range of motion w/o pain is pretty limited and he will definitely have limited strength in the areas around the tear. Those are real limitations.

Doesn't help when the opponent bangs him every time on the screens. I would do it as well, he is still the best option at 50%. He lost the ball on a dribble yesterday and you can see his head wanted to go get it, but his shoulder wouldn't let him. I appreciate him gutting it out.

It sounds like we need him to be more of a directory for the offense and not attempt shots. Hopefully Pope does some restructuring help the offense flow better around his injury.
