Burks?

Watch the games?

Your average includes an overtime game where Onyenso had five blocks and Bradshaw rode bench in foul trouble. Onyenso has had 9 blocks and 16 rebounds in past two games.

This team has zero chance to make a run in March with out an interior presence
You mean the OT game that A&M tied their season high 89 points in regulation? If you think Bradshaw is an inside defensive presence that is quite laughable. He is too weak to guard big men, he has a total of 9 blocked shots in 9 games. Hes 7 foot tall but that’s it. Ugo is blocking shots but it still is not leading to better defense. Most of his shots he blocks straight out of bounds so the other team retains possession,

Do you have any idea why the five stars get minutes? Is it because they are better than Burks? That would be too easy and not have the Cal sucks agenda associated with it, so I will go with your assessment that Burks didn't play solely because Cal promised the 5 stars minutes to get them to sign. We agree.
Show me the proof, with actual stats, show me how much better Edwards is per minute played than Burks, or Dilly, or Reed. Cal has always had 5 star favorites who get treated different than the rest of the none 5 star players. This is nothing new about Cal.

You
I don't see the comparison.
Nick was 7 feet tall and plays the same position for the Hornets as he did as a UK frosh
Plus he had enough tools as a youngster to be considered a 5 star prospect.
Burks was a 3 star.
Have you seen anything out of him skill wise to suggest he's underrated.
You are entitled to your opinion but Burks hasn’t been given enough chance to prove anything. It’s what Cal does.

You know Cal picked up Burks and Hart just to round out the roster.
There was no recruiting battle for these kids.
As far as Edwards over Burks, it's a wash.
Burks plays harder but Edwards has more SF skills.
And yes a tie is always going to go in Edwards(5star) favor.
It's just the politics of the game and you would do it too or you would be coaching at a lower level of basketball where there were no five stars, NIL deals or agents.

Then why are Reeves and Mitchell playing?
You know we have to start 5 players don’t you? Neither Shep or Dilly were thought to be one and done players coming in but the three 5 star freshmen that are starting were. Despite Edwards play which has caused his stock to drop immensely he continues starting and playing more minutes than he should.

I have been in the coaching game and no I would not. You play the ones who work the hardest and can help you win.

how do we know the players are a tie at this stage in regards to what they can contribute to the team? Since Bradshaw returned Burks no longer sees the floor. He’s played a total of 18 minutes the last 8 games with 11 of those coming against Illinois State. Edwards is giving us nothing but an occasional ckean up put back and one or two made other buckets and very few boards (10 the last 4 games in 76 minutes played). I think Burks would help out more on the boards than what Edwards is at this stage but he can’t do that playing ;45 and getting pulled immediately as soon as he does something cal doesnt like. We need defense and rebounding from that position currently (not scoring) and Edwards is not offering either of those.

I can not even conceive that anything could hurt as bad as kidney stones. I’m 55, I’ve had two of them, and nothing else I’ve ever experienced is even comparable. I mean nothing. Not even close.
Truer words have never been spoken, I had one attack during the wee hours of morning, we live about equal distance between Murray and Mayfield my wife said which hospital do you want to go to, I said it doesn't matter I will be dead before we get to either.

It really is that simple. I can’t believe people can’t see this. Now if he sticks around he could be a rotation piece. I hope he does because I like his attitude and he plays hard
You don’t think he’s good enough to bring better defense and rebounding than what Edwards is bringing to this point? He had 4 boards against Kansas in 10 minutes of action when he was seeing the floor regularly in the beginning part of the year. Edwards has managed 10 boards the last games in 76 minutes. Edwards had 4 boards against Kansas as well but in 29 minutes.

I don’t think this is a Burkes vs Edwards thing. I agree with u about Edward and his diminishing minutes reflect that
Burkes is a 4 so he’s playing behind AB and Mitchell
